I had the pleasure of frequently staying at Guesthouse Amice during August 2016. For both for work and the holidays my stay at the Guesthouse was perfect. It is away from the packed and touristy area around the Suriname river, while being close enough to get there by taxi or by bike within 10 minutes. Being a guesthouse, it is...

Great Guesthouse. Feels like coming home. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel like family. Relaxation area and pool and garden. Roomy, super clean rooms. Air Conditioning and Ceiling Fan. Very nice breakfast. Great location in quiet and safe area of the city.

Everything was just ok, only the location could be better. Breakfast was fine, it was possible to sit outside (i appreciate that), the people of the guesthouse were very friendly (staff and manager) and the rooms were clean, only a bit small. It would be nice though if the neighbor on the left would turn out his dogs at night....

I'd definitely go there again! Just returned from a 4 weeks stay, I enjoyed every bit of it. The swimming pool adds a little extra, breakfast is plain and healthy, owners are true to themselves. In my case it meant switching rooms at their initiative, as in response to a loud couple really disturbing my sleep that stayed here during...

We arrived late and the place looked nice but the management proved to be terrible. They first told us we could use the kitchen and then changed what they said and would only let us keep some things in the refrigerator. Next they constantly would hound us about having food on our balcony. The nighttime staff were nice and helpful...

Thanks for your feedback. It would be appropriate if you also mentioned your own behavior during your stay in Guesthouse Amice. Our house rules are available in every room. You applied your own rules. Nowhere is mentioned that you can cook in Guesthouse Amice. Disturbing other guests late at night, without concerning about them, is our care. The guard asked...

Yes indeed everything was a comfort for us. From the kind, helpful generousity of the owners to the hardwoking staff we interacted with. The group were constantly praising the breakfast and the daily cleaning of the rooms and surrounding. Everything was just right for us. Thanks Ravi, Jasodra . It was a pleasure.

Some things are very good at Amice, but there are aspects that could be improved. We liked the breakfasts, particularly the fresh fruit and eggs. It was great to have a pool and a small garden that we found very relaxing. The A/C in the room is amazingly quiet and effective. The 24/7 security is very good, and the temporary...

I recently enjoyed several nights and a breakfast at the Amice. The quest house is frequented by students, visiting professors and professionals as well as tourists. I enjoyed the hostel-like atmosphere and the owners and their employees were extremely helpful and friendly! I enjoyed conversations with the staff and visitors and the original artwork hanging throughout the guesthouse. Highly recommended!

“Reserve a room at the back, with balcony, as the front is on a main road. Room 8 is definitely the best, as it is on a corner and has an extra window. We reserved room 8 but were given room 9 next door.”

“The rooms with balconies that overlook the pool seem like the best choice. I had a room with a balcony that looks out on to the street - not that attractive and i could hear street noise.”
