Guyana is replete with great, non-city-based resorts, but, due to the size of the country, most need to be accessed by a long drive or a plane flight. Not so with Arrowpoint which is but a short bus and boat ride from Georgetown. On the trip we visited an Amerindian village, a jungle walk followed by a kayak return to...

Authentic Amerindian settlement - simple authentic atmosphere. The journey their thru than mangroves was utterly gorgeous: lots of contact with Mother Nature. You can buy refreshments and locally-made souvenirs.

This was an action packed all day trip. I went to Arrowpoint with my bf and he loved all of the fast paced adventure. You leave Georgetown in the early hours of the morning and take a 1h45min guided journey on road, across the Demerara river and then through the Kamuni river. Your first stop in Santa Mission where you...

Visited here on a day trip with work colleagues for a job retreat. The only way to get there is by speedboat, which is about a 45 mins ride. Though I didn't get to participate in much of the activities on offer, The atmosphere was relaxing and great for nature lovers. Food was okay. I'd recommend and definitely visit again.

I spent two nights at this resort. The boat ride in was a bit long ,but being on the water was refreshing and adventurous, and our guides made it interesting stopping to point out landmarks, exotic birds, and even a sloth in the trees. We were welcomed at the landing by staff members. Breakfast was good. The room was sparcely furnished,...

We spent part of the day here enjoying this small tranquil resort. The only way to get here is by motorboat, there are no roads to this resort. We kayaked, hiked, and mountain biked in the area. They also served us a lunch buffet which turned out to be really good, all fresh and flavorful food. It's an eco friendly...

This is place very quiet, relaxing, and comforting. The staff were warm and friendly, the food delicious, and the rum plentiful and cheap. What more could you want!? We stayed here for two nights as part of larger tour package we purchased through a travel company based in Georgetown. Once at the lodge, we hiked, kayaked, and spent a lot...

“We stayed in a room called Etan Place, I think is was probably very similar to many of the other rooms. It was opposite the generator which several other people complained about. We should have removed our shoes when entering the room because after day 1 we couldn't get the sand off the floor. My son stayed in a room in the same block and had a family of bats roosting in the bathroom. He stayed in bed at night under the mosquito netting but if you were prone to toilet trips during the night you might not want this room.”
