The staff is very nice and flexible. The location is in central, but also a bit off of the busiest road so you can have a bit less noise and fresh air. Try to get a room with a window from outside air. They don't have ACs but that is normal in Bogotá.
This is basically a dorm style hotel. It is used by athletes training at the national training center which is in walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are large, but the bed is also very large, so it leaves little space to move around in the room. The TV in the room did not work. The safe in the room did not work. The room was not dark enough to for good sleep. The shower is small, but there was good water pressure. There is no fan in the bathroom, so the window hear the top of the bathroom was open to the hallway. There is no heat and no air conditioning in the room. The room was very cold a couple of the nights while I was there. The "restaurant" is more like a cafeteria. There is a place in the lobby area with chairs and tables. There is no menu. Everyone eats from the buffet when it is open, or whatever they are served from the kitchen. Although they tried very hard to accommodate a vegetarian, it was clear it was a challenge. People in our group that ate meat thought the food was fine. Because it is an athlete hotel, there is no bar. But the biggest problem, by far, is the noise. All rooms face a busy street with lots of traffic, trucks, horns honking and sirens blaring throughout the entire night. Because the corridors are open to the roof, you can also hear all the hotel noise, even people talking from another floor. I played white noise on my computer and tried ear plugs, but cannot say I had a decent night's sleep during the entire stay. Good things: the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Some people spoke enough English to communicate about basic things. The meeting room on the rooftop was a very nice place to work. And the views from there were beautiful. If not for the friendly staff and the rooftop space, I would say "STAY AWAY!" Unless you are looking for a budget hotel and can deal with the noise.…
Hotel is a green facility as much as possible they try to reduce recycle and reuse. Postings reminding you to save resources were through out. Staff spoke enough English to get by and were friendly and helpful. Meals were typical Colombian fare and were tasty. I immediately booked again.
Located outside Candelaria district this hotel is a money saver without sacrificing any luxuries. Very clean, accommodating, helpful with airport transfers and taxi to take you anywhere. Not expensive. Just a bit outside central district but great savings. Taxi $3.USD.
The good points; large enough room, bright, comfortable beds, large enough bathroom, very clean, The bad points; very neutral welcoming, only the necessary words...the service at the breakfast was friendly, but at 9 AM. no juice anymore,no fruits anymore. We had asked for a double bed, and received 2 single. Did not complain because it was only a 1 night stay. Little space in bathroom to put your things, despite the fact that the space is there, but it is not used. The worst: LOTS of noise from the street!!
Very noisy ! Started at 5:30 am to wake up the guests by shuffling with tables and chairs. Curtains were broken and they were not fixed after the promise to do so. Sheets were dirty but they refused to change it .. Garden on the pictures doesn't exist Terrible !
Very unfriendly reception. The sheets were slept. Black hairs in the beds. There is no garden at all in this hotel. A curtain was broken. They fixed it at 6 o'clock in the morning with a lot of noise. This hotel is a farce. nobody cares about the guests. no management. Don't go there.
I stayed at this hotel while on a solo visit to Colombia. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms and linens were nice and clean. The hotel is located near 2 cross walks which is great. The walk to the El Campin Stadium is very short and well lit. I felt safe here. There is a great restaurant across the street.
Good price/quality, one of the few low budget hotels that are wheelchair accessible in Bogota. Staff is a bit inexperienced changing things according to the number of guests, the breakfast is the best example, with few guests there is no buffet. Anyway breakfast could be better, not so many variety. Location is far from the "movida" in a calm neighborhood but in front of a very busy road, too much car noise.
I traveled to Bogota alone to see the Rolling Stones at the El Campin Stadium. The location of this hotel is extremely close to the stadium. It is also located near 2 crosswalks which makes crossing the street safe. I walked home from the show in minutes. There is a great local restaurant across the street where you can get drinks and inexpensive food. The hotel room was very clean and modern. The beds were comfortable with nice linens, and the bathroom was tiled nicely and very clean.
