It has a quite good location and the room we were assigned was clean and pretty good. But they open their lounge at 4 p.m. and there were nothing to eat. Around 5 p.m. you can only see some chips, peanuts & some alcohol beverages where you have nothing to eat as a light dinner.
Our family of 8 are staying here for 2 weeks and have been really happy during our first week! The sales manager, Paola, has been wonderful to deal with; helping to find the best room configurations to accommodate all of us, helping to plan a reception for 20 persons, and connecting us with local transportation and COVID testing options. The front desk staff (Nicholas & Fernando) have been phenomenal!! Their patience with our 6 kids loosing their room keys has been limitless. The King Suite w/sofa is great for family gathering. Our teens entertain friends here rather than in their rooms. There is space for games, watching movies and sharing a take away meal. Unfortunately I have a torn Achilles tendon and have had difficulty walking and I've been able to borrow the hotel wheelchair. The breakfast is very good; much better than we had at the Hilton Homewood Suites in Minneapolis last month. The waitstaff, particularly Alexander are helpful and friendly. It's in a good location, about a 5-10 minute walk to Parque 93.…
The hotel itself is of typical Hilton standard, rooms are immaculately clean, good size, great big comfy beds with good quality linen and fluffy pillows, a fabulous hot shower which after a month of travelling and mostly cold showers was a highlight, you cannot fault the room. The English speaking staff were helpful one of which gave us details of an English speaking Covid testing company which were super efficient. The location however is good with plenty of restaurants nearby, we walked to Chapinero for dinner one evening which was about 45/50 minutes but a good way to take in the city. Uber to the airport, Mount Monserrate and historic town were incredible cheap. A number of things that were just not good enough for a 5* hotel, firstly, and commented on by other travellers, there is no porter service for luggage, this is not something we ever need or use but it was glaringly obvious from the number of staff standing around the entrance watching customers struggling in with their cases that there is no effort or consideration to help which is the oddest thing and not something I have ever seen, even the taxi drivers will help you with your luggage. I do not believe Covid is a justification for this lack of service as their staff touch everything else customers come into contact with. Secondly, I was disappointed to see there was only one serving spoon for both scrambled eggs with ham and plain scrambled eggs which meant the ham had fallen into the vegetarian option for eggs, I established you could order fresh eggs, so I explained that I was vegetarian so just eggs but definitely no ham, I was very annoyed to wait over 25 minutes for eggs to arrive with a bit of ham in, again, this is just not acceptable anywhere let alone a 5* hotel International hotel The spa area was not particularly inviting, and only open early morning or in the evening and the sky bar area show in pictures is not open at all, it is also signposted VIP, so perhaps not open to all visitor anyway, so don't assume you will be able to sit overlooking the city. Just not quite good enough for a 5* hotel but all of this is easily fixed, just needs the Management to implement better staff training.…
I do not have any major complaints. The hotel was clean and room was clean. The restaurants was closed when I wanted to order and the options were very limited for my taste. Fortunately there are some good dining options nearby.
Clean, good location, but the construction made the lack of sound proofing obvious. If you're visiting Cumbria House, the hotel is ideal to stumble home from. Staff spoke English and were as helping as they could be (Covid)
I really enjoyed my stay in this property. Loved: Location Staff Restaurant Room size and amenities In room hotel massage was the BEST. Shout out to Saira Why then the four star rating and not five stars? The older man who checked me in on Saturday early evening. I arrived and there were two employees right out side the front door. Neither offered to help me with my suitcase or other bags. One of the men also worked the front desk and checked me in. There was no friendly greeting, acknowledgment of my HH Diamond status and never mind warm cookie. When I asked about if I had been given a room upgrade I was told no so I asked why. The response was that the hotel was sold out but this is a lie because the place was dead. I questioned why I was not given a welcoming gift (like a bottle of water etc) and was met by a blank stare. This employee should not be in the hospitality business and is a very bad representative of this hotel.…
The hotel is very well located, rooms are comfortable and clean! The hotel is very nice has great amenities, the pool, and restaurant great! Great service from the staff, highly recommend the hotel for a great stay
Great hotel , great amenities and super friendly staff professional and always willing to help and go beyond the call of duty Very close to Parque 93 lot of great restaurants very safe to walk around Definetly the best address in Bogotá looking forward to my next trip back
The hotel was clean, located in a nice neighborhood and the staff was very friendly. I stayed in a suite on the eighth floor and everything was great except for the fact that there were no blackout curtains in the room. This meant waking up at 5:30 with the sunrise. If you book this hotel, don’t forget to bring your eye shades. Also there was a coffee machine in the room but no milk or milk powder. I called room service for milk, but they didn’t understand any English. I then asked for lache which they seemed to understand. After 10 mins, the lady from room service showed up with a “latte” which was pretty good actually. So no regrets there 😊
We stayed 5 nights as a family and some friends as well. The staff was amazing!! Thank you to Alejandro, Fernando, Henry, Saudy (I know I am spelling your name wrong, so sorry) and the cooking staff. They took care of all our needs and were able to help us with everything we asked. The rooms were clean and we had n issues. The pool was nice and heated and we enjoyed it very much. They were limited on breakfast items because of the pandemic but it was fine. We were a little disappointed because there was no heat in the rooms as I think they were trying to conserve money. Other than that I have no complaints and will stay at this hotel again if in Bogota.
