We arrived today from New York,we booked the hotel one month in advance and pay for it.When I am at the front desk the person say that nothing is in the computer for the full week that we pay.He told me to do it again,after I pay for one night and came to my room,I check my emails were show that the confirmation and pay was done.we went back to the front desk we’re I was treated very bad.I show him my confirmation number,days,pay.He refused to look at the confirmation and told me that nothing was in the computer.Tomorwe need to spend time to request all of this when supposed to be the job of the front desk.The minimum thing will be to make a choppy and take care of the situation.As a Medical Doctor I will never left a patient like that and I will take care of everything.I mever in my life saw a terrible situation like that.You should never come to this hotel!.

We are extremely disappointed with the outcome of our stay at the Morrison hotel. At the moment of making the booking, we announced that we were celebrating our wedding the same evening and that we would be arriving quite late. Upon arrival, we were expecting a pretty straight forward check-in process but this took more time than expected as we were initially GIVEN THE KEY TO A ROOM THAT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED AFTER THE LAST CUSTOMERS. The next morning, we were WOKEN UP BY HOUSEKEEPING WHO ENTERED THE ROOM WITHOUT KNOCKING. It seems this hotel has no control over which room is occupied or vacant. Furthermore, we missed breakfast due to the fact the clock in the room was not on time. We chose this hotel for the breakfast buffet but ended up with A VERY POOR BREAKFAST (1 fried egg and 4 pieces of bread). Our stay was supposed to be a special moment as we had just celebrated our wedding but it turned out to be A DISASTER FROM START TO FINISH.

They are back from the pandemic. During the lockdown they were at barebones and for good reason. They are now back to full strength and the staff are even better than before. Many of the staff had left but there are some that stayed and kept up the good fight. My favorite person at the hotel, Patricia, is still there. She works in the restaurant and will always help you. The new staff are very good and are very attentive to your needs. The price is right and the service is second to none. Book this hotel and you will never be sorry. There are many fine restaurants in the area too, I recommend Carbon de Palo, about two blocks away. Great steaks and very reasonable l

Excellent rooms, quiet and really clean. I enjoyed my stay there quite a lot. The staff is top notch, I will recommend. Our stay was not planned and they still were so accommodating, even when we arrived basically at midnight. Excellent job!

I have been coming to the Morrison for many years, and always enjoyed staying there where the service was always warm and friendly and the hotel is conveniently located in Bogotá. At this time, we had a couple of issues that unfortunately are very different from the standard of service that we always received at this hotel. First, when checking in, they said that the room we reserved was not available, so they were putting us in a smaller (and cheaper) room. When we asked about any difference on the rate, they said that unfortunately they were not allowed to offer a discount but they would try to offer us “a courtesy” from the hotel (which never happened) as a way to compensate for the inconvenience. The following morning, the hotel presented a technical problem, and the rooms run out of the water service. I communicated the front desk and they offered me to take a shower in another room (where supposedly there was water service); I accepted the suggestion but also run out of water when trying to take a shower in the other room. I spoke to the manager, (that I learned recently assumed this position) and she only said that they were working to solve the problem, without giving any prevision about when the problem would be solved, or offered any alternative or help. I understand that this kind of situation might happen, but her response to this situation was really disappointing, seeming that the problem was customer´s business. At the end of the day, and after expressing my frustration with the way they handled the situation, they moved us to another Morrison hotel in Bogotá, located in a really noisy and unsafe neighborhood. We did not even received an apology from the manager. It was evident to us that the change in the management brought a big impact on the level of service of this hotel. Not coming back again.

It’s my third time at this hotel and this time I was a bit disappointed and a bit frustrated. Due to COVID the main block was closed which leads a weird feeling. As usual it was a bit cold at night the A/C is not reversible. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast: instead of the usual buffet it was a coffee, a poor plate of fruit and an egg. You have to beg for more coffee or a bread toast. Maybe I won’t come back the next time even if the staff is friendly.

I had an absolute wonderful experience staying at the Morrison 114 for a few nights in March/21. The room was a great size and very clean, everything I needed was there for me. The bed was so amazing and warm specially at night when temperatures in Bogota drop a lot. The bathroom and shower were spectacular as well. The taxi drivers available for you at the hotel were so courteous and nice, just amazing decent guys: Luis and Marco, Thank you! Also at the front desk Camilo and his outstanding customer service always trying to exceed my expectations thank you very much for your service! And last but not least Eduardo Sanchez the Manager, so very concerned about my needs and just trying to make my experience a great one, thank you as well. Overall I had an excellent experience at the hotel and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a small sized hotel in a great location in Bogota's North end. I will definitely come back in another opportunity. Congratulations on your outstanding customer service in all the different areas of the hotel. This is a well managed place without a doubt. I have been coming to this hotel for years. Even with the Pandemic the service is fantastic. I will continue to stay here anytime I come to Bogota as I am treated like family. The prices are reasonable and the rooms are nice. When things are under control it will just make the hotel that much better. Right now you can be confident that the areas are clean and sanitized. Please give them a shot next time you are in Bogota, you will not regret it.

I booked via Booking a room at this hotel for 16 nights. When I checked-in I gave my Credit Card to the staff member. At the moment, he didn’t ask if I wanted the entire stay to be charged or mentioned anything about the hotel’s policies on what was the threshold to do a second payment or if the remaining balance should be paid at check-out. He just charged my credit card for whatever is their policy. Three days before checking out, I was in my car waiting for the hotel’s parking door to open. Suddenly, the General Manager of the hotel (Eduardo Sanchez) ran towards my car in a hurry as if something REALLY BAD had happened. He approached my window with a piece of paper and asked for my name (he said it all in the wrong order), and I confirmed it was me. Then immediately he started to scream at me in front of other guests and hotel employees. He argued that my balance was over $1MIO COP and that I needed to pay. Based on the way that he was acting and yelling at me, it was like if he had asked me several times to pay and I had refused or ignored him. He was shouting like crazy and repeated over and over again that I should pay what I owe. I replied that I understood and that I wasn’t avoiding to pay, but that until that moment it was the 1st TIME I was hearing from anyone in the hotel about this threshold. On the other hand, nobody from the hotel in a period of 13 days had told me anything about a pending AND URGENT balance. In other words, I wasn’t aware that I had to pay any balance until that Mr. Sanchez approached me in the VIOLENT way he did 3 days before my check-out. I also explained to Mr. Sanchez that at the moment of my check-in his employee could’ve charged my credit card for the ENTIRE stay, but he didn’t. As a guest, I’m not responsible to know the payment policies of each hotel I visit unless I’m told BEFOREHAND and RESPECTFULLY. I also told him that for 13 days now I was in and out several times per day of the hotel and NOBODY from the Staff had approached me before to collect that payment. The General Manager replied again AGRESSIVELY that they didn’t know that I was going to stay for 16 nights. I replied to this statement that he knew I was staying for that long as I made my reservation via booking and I hadn’t changed it since- Also the length of my stay was recorded on the statement that he belligerently handed over to me. I mentioned that in all of my years traveling around the world and staying in many hotels I’ve never seen a method to collect payment SO DISRESPECTFUL. Typically for extended stays, when you meet a threshold what PROPERLY MANAGED hotels do is one of the three: Slip the bill under the room’s door, give you a call to your room or tell you on your way out discretely and respectfully- NOT what Mr. Sanchez did, which was to address to me in a VIOLENT manner and blame me for something that he is accountable for as the Manager of the Hotel. He was so outraged and out of control that he was even getting too close to me (almost getting his face inside my car’s window). As a consequence, I had to ask him to BACK-OFF and not get near me and my face any further. On top of the fact that his behavior was completely inappropriate, it is even more so in the middle of a pandemic when social distancing is MANDATORY. He had NO RIGHT TO VIOLATE MY PERSONAL SPACE LIMIT OR TO GET IN MY FACE IN AN INTIMIDATING WAY IN MY OWN CAR. As I only had time to park my car and leave again the hotel, before doing so I told Mr. Sanchez that I was back in 2hrs and that I needed an appointment with him as I needed to understand what had just happened. When I returned, I proceeded immediately to pay the balance and Mr. Sanchez was at the lobby. Of course he left to avoid the conversation I announced I wanted to have with him, so I had to follow him to his office so that we could have the talk that I had requested. Once more Mr. Sanchez was completely disrespectful given this behavior. Mr. Sanchez, instead of using the 2 hrs to reflect on what he did and realize that he was completely wrong and that the way he treated me was completely OUT OF THE LINE, he kept his attitude and was even cynical about it. Surprisingly enough he continued to think that the scandal outside of the hotel that he started, the way he treated me and the way he asked me to pay was all legitimate and correct. I couldn’t believe how the General Manager of a Morrison hotel can even dare to think that that behavior is right and acceptable. I reminded him not be abusive and to EVER DISRESPECT MY PERSONAL SPACE AND GET IN MY FACE AGAIN. This hotel has 100+ rooms, but due to the pandemic only 7-8 of them had guests during my whole stay (This fact was shared by the hotel employees themselves who are very worried with the low occupancy). Of those 7-8 guests, I’m pretty sure that not many had a stay of 16 nights, and Mr. Sanchez, instead of taking very good care of the few clients that he has and be THANKFUL, does the complete OPPOSITE? Mr. Sanchez doesn’t behave and have the skills evidently of a General Manager of a hotel—Not only he is DISRESPECTUL, UNFAIR and DANGEROUSLY VIOLENT with his guests, but also put his employees and the people that stay there at risk of getting Covid-19. This, as he doesn’t wear in the middle of a pandemic his mask properly at all times as he should be. I saw him multiple times during my stay without wearing his mask. He clearly doesn’t lead by example, but thankfully the rest of his staff followed the guidelines and wore the mask. What kind of leadership example is him to the others that work there? I still believe that what happened is his responsibility as the Manager of this hotel. He CANNOT transfer his own accountabilities and JOB to the guests. As I said to him, I don’t have a problem with them asking me to pay any given balance, but there are ways. It is not about the WHAT BUT THE HOW- His “How” was completely violent, abusive and disrespectful. The only reason why I didn’t leave the hotel on that day was because the location is very convenient for what I need and I had just 3 days left (of 16). But that’s exactly what Mr. Sanchez deserved- To lose my business and he did in fact for the future. Starting this summer, I will travel every other month to Bogota, and will never stay in the Morrison unless this General Manager is out. I will never support the salary of a person so LOW and VULGAR. Thankfully there is kind and respectful people that work at that Hotel like Camilo at the Front Desk and Wilmer at the Restaurant. To make things worse, unfortunately this isn’t the first time that I was treated unfairly at this hotel. Back in 2019 I stayed there also and Mr. Sanchez didn’t act professionally then too. I’m Colombian but live in the U.S., however I’m not a U.S Citizen. The law says that regardless of your nationality, if you are NOT a resident in Colombia, you shouldn’t pay taxes for your stay- The purpose of this law is to promote tourism for Non-Residents. This is not what happened when I stayed at the Morrison hotel, even though I don’t live in my home country, I was forced to pay the taxes. Apparently Mr. Sanchez doesn’t understand that you can be Colombian, but live elsewhere- Nationality is NOT Equivalent to where you live. I shared at the time with him the law, but he played dumb and refused to reimburse me. It was of course better to take my money. I hope the directives of this hotel read this review. I am happy to provide more details and insights of what is happening at that hotel. For those of you that are thinking about booking at this hotel, both Colombians and foreigners, BEWARE!!!!!!!!
