This hotel is really an amazing find in Bogotá. It is impeccably clean with a super comfortable bed. The layout of the room is perfect. Guests are really spoiled with many different breakfast options available. The rooms are set back from the street making them very quiet. The staff go out of their way to help. We arrived at night due to flight delay and they helped us order food to the hotel. There is a common living room downstairs in which we met some other very nice hotel guests. The wifi signal in the room was a bit patchy for me as we were on the top floor but this to me was not a problem. Great value for money, a really great little hotel.

This small econo-boutique hotel is centrally located with easy taxi access to airport, downtown, the historic center, Zona G and also the more affluent northern portions of the city. Its proximity to a transmilenio station is also helpful for moving quickly thru the vast expanses of Bogota. My courtyard facing room, with its quasi-Scandinavian spartan design, was adequately sized for one person and being toward the back of the hotel was removed from street noise altho even with that distance from reception, the ringing of the front door bell, required to access the property, could always be heard echoing up the staircase and to the room. The minute bathroom barely fit one person as the door scraped on the tiny vanity but was perfectly functional with hot water in the shower mostly consistent in temperature. Breakfast, served in a sunny, pleasantly decorated semi-outdoor covered patio, offered numerous tasty food options individually cooked along with fruit and coffee. More than sufficient for a morning start. As an FYI, the staff didn’t speak English (I never expect anyone to when traveling) but with my limited Spanish skills and a valiant effort at communication, nothing was problematic except that the hotel’s arranged driver for airport transportation charged 25% more than the desk stated. I regret not getting the price confirmed when the driver picked me up. The difference was negligible but I did feel somewhat taken advantage of. One recommendation would be to change out the sofas in the common area for something more stylish and smaller scaled. That update would bring Boyaca Real to a higher level of design and make that room more appealing.

The description and the photos are accurate on their website. The bed is so comfortable, there’s hot water, the remodel is just beautiful, and breakfast was very nice with fresh squeezed orange juice, and the best cup of hot cocoa we have had in Colombia! I can’t say enough nice things about this accommodation, including the location. Just fabulous! PS. If you haven’t had a proper cup of hot chocolate in Colombia, treat yourself! It’s made with the Coco nibs, and not with cocoa powder.

Nice hotel in a good location. The room was clean, hot water and comfortable. In the morning breakfast was made to order. You can tell the location is new. We booked on short notice without an issue. The staff was friendly.

We arrived at Bogotà and needed one nite to wait for our next flight. I saw good reviews and called through Skype on the airport's free wifi. My Spanish is very poor, but with a few clutch phrases prepared on Google Translator, I was able to secure a room and arrange for a pickup. They arrived in 10 minutes and drove us the 10 km to their town home-style hotel. The transfer fees are the same as a taxi, but with much more room for bags. Once there, they allowed us a very early check in and I slept hard (post red-eye). The room has warm and comfortable beds, everything is clean, and coffee & drinks & breakfast were complimentary. The owners really do everything they can to make you feel safe and comfortable - and the prices are very good. You will be happy here and want to return.

As a newcommer to Bogota, I really apreciated this small hotel. Follow the address as there is no sign on the (white) building that it would be a Hotel there. Area is a student zone with many connections to TransMilenio, it is safe and location is in between Ciudar Rosa, park Simon Bolivar and Plaza Simon Bolivar. Staff is friendly and the breakfast is not verry diverse but is still OK: many exotic fruits, egges, toast, arepas etc. Rooms are decently sized and furniture is good. Note: no heating in the rooms and temperature might get around 18 deg C. Personally I enjoyed this but you should have it in mind. Worm blankets are provided and I guess this situation is valid all over Bogota.

We stayed here for 3 nights last week when we first arrived in Bogota. The couple who own and run this small hotel go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. Our room had a very comfortable king bed with great linens, duvet and pillows. The hotel is only half a block from a Transmilenio station so geting around the city is easy but it is on a side residential street so it is not noisy. We are back here again on our way to Ecuador and have booked for two more nights at the end of our trip.

I don't believe in throwing out 5 stars indiscriminately. The hotel is basic, but the service is what elevated my rating. I was initially staying in the "upscale" area near Virrey Park. Not b/c I'm a high roller, but b/c safety is a huge issue here. However, this area is far from La Candelaria where most of the sites are. And getting jostled on the Transmilenio got tiresome after a long day of sightseeing. I researched and found the Teusoquillo area to be safe and closer to the center. Hotel Casa Boyaca Real is just off the main street around the corner from the Transmilenio calle 45. I think it cut my transit to the city center 10-20min depending on what bus I was able to catch. And I saved a lot more money staying here than in Zona T. The room was spacious, though it can get a little cold. Speaking of cold, it takes forever for electric shower to heat up. The rooms are basic, and the construction serves more function than aesthetics. However, you get good wifi (easy browsing) and a clean and quiet room. Breakfast was not exciting but filling. I read about the good service here from other TA reviews. And anything we needed addressed was done so immediately. Patricia, the cook, cleaner, receptionist, etc was tireless and great. Our last night here, we went to dinner at the restaurant next door. I had thought that we had used credit card the first time we ate there, but tonight we couldn't. This was a problem, since we were out of cash. The older lady, who works the night, graciously talked to the restaurant staff. She arranged it so that we could add the bill to our hotel tab. This saved us from a lot of trouble, and I would never imagine that a hotel would help us out in this way. You travel enough and you know that there are moments when you have to rely on the kindness of strangers. The hotel does charge VAT, but I chose not to bring this up. We are grateful to have found such a place and highly recommend it to others.

At a recent stay at the Casa Hotel Boyacá Real we found our room comfortable and perfectly clean and staff that went above and beyond anything we had expected - giving us directions and insight into the best of Colombia as well as great service - hot tea on arrival after a long flight and delicious breakfast every morning.
