As someone who has visited Bogota and Colombia for the first time, I decided to stay here. The location on the hotel was very good. The hotel was located just off calle 53, in Galerias area, with Carulla supermarket which is 24 hours just across the road. Loads of places to eat right next to the hotel such as KFC, McDonald's, halal y Carnes restaurant, and many others. Also loads of bars less than 3 mins walk away. This place is very close to anything you'll need during your stay. It is also just off calle 53, so not directly on the main road, but just off it. And you only need to walk 5 seconds off the main road to access the entrance to the hotel. Being so close to the main road though, you can hear the music from one of the bars which is right behind the hotel at night so it may not be ideal for light sleepers. You can also hear some noises from the main road. The room itself had a double bed, desk, wardrobe and side desk with lamp and draws. Decent size and facilities. En suite private bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink. The bathroom didn't have any shower gel but did have soap. The shower was decent. The views out of the window were amazing. But it seems that it may be the case from any window in Bogota. The breakfast that was served was decent. Usually came with scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions if you wanted it, bread or arape and butter and jam. Orange juice. And a hot drink. The service overall, the girls at reception were very friendly, would help me whenever I needed it, and would always give advice. Carolina especially was amazing, always smiling and laughing. Great girl. Overall, service was good, location was great. Only downside was the noise at times in the night. Would I stay here again? Definitely. …
One of the best hotels around Latin America, the resturants are so Stylish, the employees that work in this hotel are exceptional, really really amazing, if you want to visit Colombia please do not leave to visit this intersting Hotel
Personally it's one of my favorite locations, convenient to most everywhere and quite safe, with good everyday shopping and dining options. If you don't want the artificial experience of the north or Candelaria, Galerias is a good slice of middle-class life and it's very safe despite what some reviews imply. The staff couldn't be nicer and the breakfast and wifi are very sound. The good news and bad news is that around the corner you'll find lots of clubs with loud music until 3 AM....much cheaper than going out at night in the north, and you can safely walk back. Of course, back at the hotel it's some semi-loud thumping bass lines especially for rear-facing rooms, so if that's a problem buy some ear plugs or stay somewhere else.
The staff is attentive and the rooms, beds and breakfast are ok. Location is not good. Bogota is getting better and each day safer but it is not all safe. The location is far from business, entretainment areas and historical town. The cost of the taxis will increase your stay a lot, and the security of the area is not the best. If you know the area and you know your way around ok, but by far it would cost the same to stay in Zona T, Chapinero or La Candelaria if you consider the taxis. I actually felt safer and better in a hostel in La Candelaria. If you do not need to move at night and do not want to go to dinner nor business meetings, then you can def stay here.…
I stayed here for 2 nights while my last visit to Bogota. It is a small cozy hotel near Galerias. Here's my views. What I liked The hotel is at a very good location. The place is full of eateries. Various fast food joints like KFC and Mc Donalds are nearby. And there's Mr Camarones, a outlet which specifically serves ceviches. Do try this place. Then there's a 24 hour supermarket in the vicinity. The area is busy even during night time. There's a police post within 100 metres. The area seemed quite safe. Even though the hotel is in busy area, rooms are quite and comfortable. Hot water supply is functional. Wifi is available and with a decent speed. Breakfast served is limited, but delicious. Last but not the least, the room tarriff doesnt burn a hole in your pocket and is a complete value for money. What I didnt like Nothing as such. I personally prefer buffet breakfast, which was not offered here. I liked the hotel and very helpful staff. I would return back to the hotel when I am at Bogota. I recommend this hotel to all.…
Gem in central bogota chapinero area fun carullas grocery 1 block good food room 201 2 full bed & twin mountain view breakfast coffee egg juice croissant resturaunt style staff no english manager does
Its a small hotel at Galerias, which are close to anything you might want to do in Bogota. It offers clean rooms for good price. They dont charge IVA, even not to Colombians so the price showed really includes everything. We asked about breakfast before they normally do, which was just one toust and hot chocolate.
