This is a great place to get to know Bogotá from the iniside out. The hotel is a good balance of price, quality and service. If you plan to discover the city, learn spanish and get familiar with Bogota, this is the place. Near the bank district, the north and center are easily accesible. I loved the local food made... A flash back to Bogotá en the 70's. It feels like staying at your uncle's home: typical local food and great caring people The host takes special care of the environment, the hotel is full of eco-perks. Interesting people, art exibitions, yoga, kung-fu classes and flee markets make staying at this place a unique experience.

If you want to feel “adventurous” inside a hand-made shaft, made of recycled wood panels and old furniture, this is the place for you. I’m not of the kind so I will not stay there again. As the name suggests, this is an old house where very thin staircases lead up to the roof where two small rooms have been... More

We have just read Mr. Gumucio´s opinion and, again, must apologize for whatever inconvenience he may have had during his stay with us. Casa Rústica is an open invitation to participate in the Réco philosophy as a lifestyle. We are aware that not everybody likes this lifestyle and are very respectful in that aspect. Nevertheless, we insist on doing our... More

The Casa Rustica has a very personal, home-away-from-home touch to it, with Peter and his team having put a lot of effort and love into the project, from the artistic furniture made out of recyced material to the individually prepared meals and fantastic fruit baskets. The location was very central for my business purposes (NGOs, embassies, universities) and the neighbourhood... More

I stayed in Casa Rustica Bogota for one week in January 2012. It felt like home!! ! First of all, the owner, Peter, was there at the airport to meet me. He knows Bogota in and out and is a great source of information. The hotel ( or rather, Bed and Breakfast) is only about a 25 minute drive from... More

Greetings: I´m so sorry that it has taken me so long to answer. It is just that I wanted to inform that the kitchen, although not updated (since the original sense was to have kept it pretty much the way it must have been originally) has been considerably improved since we have already been able to partially restore the original... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Rústica Bogotá is a restored house located in the historical district of Quinta Camacho. The financial district on Avenida Chile and the Zona G(Gourmet) are both only two blocks away. The house has been furnished to imitate the local lifestyle of the ´50s and ´60s. To a great extent the house has been restored with reclaimed materials in keeping with the spirit of ecofriendly behavior. There is also a rainwater filtration system for watering plants and for washing the floors as well as an herb garden that uses recycled objects as flower pots, among other ecofriendly features. We are not only ecofriendly but also pet friendly and are therefore also willing to lodge small pets prior fulfillment of certain sanitary requirements. We consider that one of the best compliments we can receive from our guests is that returning to Casa Rústica Bogotá after a trip elsewhere or after having found permanent lodging in the city, is like coming back home. This, since we consider that Casa Rústica Bogotá is like a home far away from home. ... more   less
