I chose to stay this property because of its excellent location: central, next to the national museum, a park nearby, tons of restaurants and even a couple of convenient stores nearby etc..

My reservations for 2 rooms were made at the AccorHotel website and they had automaticall

The LOUDEST, NOISIEST hotel I've ever stayed. Beware, a nightclub is across the street and blasts its loudspeakers most nights until 2am. I've asked to be moved but they have me the standard "we're full'.
Regardless of everything else I cannot recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately had to write a complaint letter, as the standard best practices aren't applied in that hotel, which made me loose a lot of money by not being able to charge me in local currency.Additionally, they asked me to pay a few days before my check out - at which point i dec

I really liked the modern space (lobby, dinning, inside and outside bars). The room was pretty good - has a safe, full length mirror (all hotels should have them it’s such a simple touch), closet section, desk area, shelves, lotsa outlets, tv with lots channels, good water pressu

It is our first trip to Colombia & we'll be flying into Cartagena. I've been looking into rooms & notice the hostels seem to be "party houses". We are very active by day, but need to rest at night, Where is a good, inexpensive motel or quiet hostel? We also want to prepare our own food if possible to save a bit more on the budget. We want to enjoy great activities & don't mind food prep. Our other concern is for safety, we want clean, reasonable, save, and comfortable. I know it may be a lot on a very tight budget, but, it is important to to stay on budget, after Cartagena, we go to Bogota for the remainder of our stay in Colombia.
I looked at hostels in La Calanderia but was told there had been break ins and the area can be sketchier at night. The Ibis felt safe and central. They have a cab stand, you are across the street from a transit station as well. The hotel is right next to Museo nacional, a planetarium, an old bull ring, restaurants and La Magdalena (colorful house row). It is a 15 min cab ride to La Calanderia (everything else is there). We got breakfast buffet for $10USD for the two of us. You could load up for the day on that? We did 36 hrs in Bogota at the end of our budget. We jammed it in but with the graffiti tour, it was well worth the extra cost.
