With 12 hours jet lag, we did enjoy the quietness and comfort of those little apartment, with a good location...good shopping mall nearby, few restaurants, and bogota is very easy to travel with cabs, although it s such a big city and a lot of traffic jam Very friendly staff!! thx
We stayed here in Bogota for our family vacation and thought this would fit our needs as we were traveling as a party of 8. Let's start with the positives which are few: 1)Next to Unicentro & Exito shopping center for basic amenities 2)Apartments are decently sized Now with the laundry list of negatives: 1)The apartments are not as described, and are terribly outdated with broken furniture, appliances, and beds are as hard as rocks, virtually unable to be slept on. Not a welcome sight after traveling 12 hours. Our dining room table was falling apart and we asked the staff to fix it and no one came up. 2)NOISE: This place has paper thin walls and we were so lucky that a group of teenage soccer players were staying next door and on top of our room. At all hours they were running, playing soccer indoors, screaming, and throwing things. Again multiple calls made to the front desk and they assured us it was being taken care of but no one came up as the noise continued incessantly over 4 days. 3)WiFi: Dont advertise connection if the router is going to go down every couple of hours. When asked about the status of the WiFi we were rudely told they would reset it and maybe it was our devices. 4)COLD: This place is frigid! If you get cold easily this is not for you, and with Bogota's chilly autumn weather expect to catch a cold considering the single pane windows, no insulation, and hardwood floors. The apartment has no heating what so ever. There are no vents, and again when asked we were told they could provide more blankets until a space heater was available, c'mon seriously?! Mind you by the time the heater was provided it was an old honeywell that once plugged in was fried and turned off after 5 minutes. 5)Unpleasant guests: Aside from the unruly soccer teams staying, we also witnessed multiple rooms get rented out to men and prostitutes for hourly stays. We were a family with children and this was not pleasant to witness especially when they claim this is a good part of town. This place is absolutely garbage, a waste of money, with no care for a well paying guest. We were here for here for a week and could not find another hotel to take our large group. Front desk offered no consolation. Truth be told, the high reviews must be by hotel staff, since they so proudly boast a 8.1 rating behind their front desk, HA. I repeat do not stay here at any cost.…
1. Near to Super market like Uni-centro which has Exito 24 hours, Carrula 2. Bad staff service 3. Pathetic Internet 4. Offering Breakfast but limited to themselves, never knows when it will finished, once limited item finished they will never refill 5. Lift is mostly not working 6. Corridor light sensor is really dangerous, sometime be ready to walk stair without light or in your mobile light 7. Side rooms are very much noise (road side traffic) Not Good Option, better to take room in Travellers Suits in Fontana (not in Plaza)
We've stayed in the hotel a few weeks. Unfortunately it was not as good as expected: furnitures are really old and of bad taste, the oven and the stove must be from the 80's and are not working well (can take you up to 45 min just to boil water), same for the lamps (be careful if you have toddlers as the lamps wires are really old and, obviously, not safe). It's very cold and the curtains were dirty (grey instead of white), internet wasn't working well (on our ipad, couldn't make a simple research on google, and on a random computer almost all the international pages didn't work, which for us was quite annoying...), etc. It happened a few times also to see the cleaning lady entering our appartement without any notice (I was in pyjama and not naked, hopefully). Some of our belongings also "disappeared", like clothes or sunglasses. After explaining everything to the manager, he didn't feel sorry at all, he didn't apologize and didn't try much to make things better for us. So we will certainly not go back to this hotel, for this price in Bogota there are places much better and with a better location!…
I will start mentioning the good things: 1. Good price compared to others hotels in the same zone. 2. Decent breakfast buffet. 3. The gym was small but enough to do a decent routine. 4. Good neighborhood. 5. Fully equipped (except washer). What I did not like: 1. The room was extremely cold. There were times were the outside was less colder than the room. 2. The bed was really hard. I had problems to sleep. 3. The sink was damaged and even when I reported the problem it was not fixed. 4. The reservation method was really bad. I did a reservation using expedia and I was not registered in the hotel. 5. The maid once entered without knocking the door. 6. The electric outlets were so old that sparks showed up everytime I plugged my computer charger. In summary, though it had good things, I will never stay there again.…
Set in a handsome, multi-occupancy brick complex, the Travelers Suites Fontana Plaza, is just across Carrera 15 from the large UniCentro Mall. Several restaurants, assorted shops, banks etc were also in the immediate vicinity. Cabs were always readily available outside, though Bogota traffic is notorious for its density, night and day – “organised chaos” was one of our party’s description. Our apartment on the 3rd floor was comfortable, quiet and spacious. It overlooked one of a number of pleasant garden and courtyard areas which contained a play area for children, and allowed residents to walk their dogs at weekends. It comprised: a large master bedroom with king-size bed, walk-in robe and ensuite bathroom and desk; a smaller second bedroom with two single beds and its own smaller ensuite; a good sized kitchen; and separate dining and lounge areas. A third small bathroom was located in the entrance hall. Wi-fi and breakfast were included in the very reasonable tariff. All the staff were invariably friendly and helpful. Most had some English and, with good humour, helped us with our fractured Spanish. The couple of minor maintenance issues we had – like blown light bulb and missing sink plug – were fixed within minutes. Organising a late checkout was done without any fuss and a small additional charge. In short, our apartment was ideal for four adults over a 12 day stay. We would definitely stay there again.…
being a frequent business and leisure traveler to Bogota (at least twice a month!) I discovered this hotel, because I stayed in one of their Travelers apartments in Cali (which was also good) a couple of times. I have spent three days (weekends) at this place and found it quite good and with an excellent location, since it's next door to a huge shopping center (Unicentro), a famous 5 star Hotel (La Fontana), some of the city's best Business Centers, restaurants and night life. Most of the flats are 2-bedroom apartments, fully equipped, kitchen, gym... and they serve daily breakfast in the comfort of your dining table. For about U$100 it sleeps 2-3 people, which makes it a super bargain. Not only I recommend it... I'm going back this weekend to watch the U20 Soccer World cup Quaterfinals and obviously will stay there again.…
