We arrived at 6:30 AM on the night bus from Uyuni, and luckily our room was ready! On 2 levels, it was fairly spacious, comfortable, and could accommodate up to 6. Small kitchenette, very basic. The utmost negative aspect was the breakfast : it was supposedly served starting at 7:30AM, but there was only one waitress/cook and she often arrived...

Stayed in a private double room for 2 nights after partying at the neighbouring hostel. This place is fine just overpriced in my opinion at 190 BOB/night. Showers were hot, run down but fine. Bit old fashioned. Double room was cold due to been surrounded by a large open area but plenty of blankets to keep you warm. TV in...

Near Plaza Murillo, a nice place to hang out and relax, This hotel is not grand but is interesting (former residence of a past president of Bolivia) and has nice courtyards for relaxation. Easy walk to the gringo areas (witches market, etc.). The restaurant is best only for snacks but it is close to other good food options.

I stayed here for a week to take a rest from touring Peru and Bolivia. If you are looking to get any rest forego the wild rover and go here! When you first enter you notice the two big courtyards. There a good place if you have kids or a group. The Receptionists were friendly helped me with getting around...

Even though it has a nice and very pleasant courtyard, the rooms need improvement. We were a group occupying 5 rooms. There was a leak in the ceiling in one of the rooms; too bad we had a rainy night!!! The meal offered to our group did not meet our standards: served 45 minutes later than the requested time, service...

We checked in and proceed to make payment at the front desk. The reception initially quoted 282Bs for our room. However, this was not what was stated on agoda.com and we should have paid an equivalent of 40usd (about 278Bs). We handed over 302Bs and the reception promptly accepted without giving us change. We gave up arguing and stayed for...

I booked a bus trip to Copacabana with the travel agency of the hostel. It was said, they pick me up 7:30 am at my hostal. But the driver for the trip never showed up. I tried to call the numbers written on the contract but nobody answered the phone. At 10 am i finally reached somebody. The driver had...

We stayed 3 nights at Hostal Republic. There is an extremely nice courtyard where you can sit and eat breakfast etc. There is even WiFi there. Also we were very happy with the service provided in the reception. Downsides for the hostal was that our room was in quite bad shape. There were holes in the walls and it was...

We picked this place because of the great review it got on lonely planet but I can only assume it is out of date. The rooms are freezing cold although you are able to buy hot water bottles at reception for 30BS. The wifi is temperamental and often drops out. It is not the hotel's fault that they are building...

Really nice hostel in colonial building. Rooms were large, clean & adequate. Shared bathroom was clean with best shower I have had in all 3 months travelling so far! It was hot & powerful. It is quiet even though across road from wild rover. 10 mins walk to plaza San Francisco. Biggest downside was awful breakfast of 1 bread roll...
