I am a regular visitor of Abu Dhabi and stay almost always at the Royal Meridien. My room is kept tidy and clean by Durai Raj who always has a friendly chat. This is representative for the entire hotel, which adds to the friendly atmosphere....More
Just returned after 1 week family holiday. Due to holy month of Ramadan, the hotel was quite mid week and some of the hotel bars were closed. Nevertheless my stay with family was excellent. I like to say thank you to all the staff at...More
In brief, the iftar buffet was good ,with a variety of cuisines .The table arrangment/explanation/information was provided by Ahmed (operator who took my reservation ).Thank you Ahmed , you are outstanding.
We booked iftar in it's Ramadan tent, no doubt the tent was beautiful with light arabic live entertainment and courteous staff. What didn't reach my expectation was the food, really low quality spread with few basic options. Nothing from the spread was pleasing enough. I...More

Durai Raj is a thorough, happy, loyal and exceptional room cleaner who always does his best to make sure the guest has everything they need. The view from the sea-facing rooms is fantastic and overall a very comfortable stay. Mohammed Alam leads a fantastic team.

I honestly wouldn't choose this place to take my family. The pool area was quite unattractive compared with many other hotels i have stayed at in Abu Dhabi. With a family i would go to the Hilton further along the Corniche, the Intercontinental or any of the other hotels at that end which is more attractive as an area anyway. The Fairmont Bab al Bahr is one of my favourites - i took my family there and it was great - it's not central but it is half way between the Corniche and Ferrari World/Yas Waterpark etc and you can walk along to the Shranghi La property or get at little boat across the creek to the Ritz Carlton therefore having the option to enjoy the other properties. It has a view of the Grand Mosque which is nice. I guess it depends what you are looking for and how old the children are.
When i checked in at the Meridien it was late in the night and the music was thumping away at a bar and there were rather inappropriately dressed ladies heading there....i was in little doubt as to their line of business
The early check in is depending on the room availability, but most probably you will need to book an extra night. And yes they do provide free valet parking for hotel guests.
Hope this helps, enjoy your visit to Abu dhabi.
