This hotel besides its poor condition and dirtiness, it is very unsafe for women traveling alone. My American friend arrived there one night before me and she was harassed by one of the bellboys at night. The only good thing about this hotel is its location, two minutes from the old city, although there are other many surrounding options to...

Probably the worst hotel I've ever been! It was the last night of a 15 days trip in Syria and Jordan, which definitely would have deserved something better but ok, it was one of the only options we had. High season (mid October) and trying to find something calling the night before...nothing else to do. But ok, we survived! ;)...

Not clean, nobody speaks a word of english, difficult to get a invoice, dark rooms, no towels in the bathroom... It's very cheap, a double room costs 2000 syp (40 usd) but it is too bad in general. Much better to pay a little bit more just for having the basic on higyene.

At about $7/night at the Al-Rais (President) Hotel, you truly get what you pay for. The showerhead in our bathroom had fallen off, the room looked like it hadn't been dusted in about 2 years, and we seem to have been given a room directly above a mosquito colony. Though I wouldn't go so far as to say the place...
