A charming, beautifully restored courtyard hotel with only a dozen or so rooms. Rooms are decorated with elaborate fabrics and beautifully painted ceilings. Bathrooms are superb! Perfect location right in the middle of old town on Bab Sharqi. Everything within walking distance, just a few steps from Naranj restaurant. Friendly and welcoming service. We've been to many hotels in Damascus,...

What a beautiful place! It was a bit tricky to get there by car because, during the day, they close the gates of straight street, but in the end, with a kind policeman on a motorcycle escorting us through the small streets, we arrived at the hotel. The staff had organised a parking space right opposite the entrance, which was...

Very well positioned on the "Right Street" of Damascus which is within walking distance of most of sightseeing in Damascus. Rooms small but very chic. Breakfast great. Staff very friendly and give helpful tips.

This hotel could be great. The location in the middle of old Damascus is excellent. The building itself, an old merchant house, has plenty of charm. The rooms themselves however are tiny. Worse yet, they have a pungent smell of toilet cleaner about them. This smell persisted for the two days that we stayed, despite having the window open, and...

I stayed here for 4 nights during the period when Americans were advised to leave Syria. The hotel (like all others) was nearly empty. Even so, the staff was wonderful. My room, at the back, on the upper floor, was quiet, luxurious, romantic. It had a large terrace (no view, alas). The bed was gigantic and comfortable. It gave me...

Traditional old city damascene house. Lovely courtyard. We had a double room on the first floor. It shared a large balcony with the next room. Lovely atmosphere.

My recent stay at the Agenor Hotel was spectacular in every way. Upon a very late arrival we were notified that we were upgraded to a suite which was fit for a queen. The bathroom was amazing! The services at all levels were prompt and attentive. The location in the old city is absolutely perfect for walking everywhere. I would...

It´s located perfectly, the people work there is the most lovely people I ever met in a hotel but also the hotel is something special. It´s like live in the history! If it´s something I regret it will be...

“Rooms on the bottom floor towards the back can be a bit loud during breakfast times. Choose a room that opens to the street, or that is on the top floor. Upgrade to the larger rooms if possible.”
