There are two types of rooms, modern ones with no kettle and old fashioned ones with a small stove. The modern rooms are more roomy and attractive, so even though they lack a kettle they're a better choice. The dining room... More
There are two types of rooms, modern ones with no kettle and old fashioned ones with a small stove. The modern rooms are more roomy and attractive, so even though they lack a kettle they're a better choice. The dining room is open for many hours and will gladly provide you with tea or coffee if that's what you want. I found Casa D'Or quite charming and would return gladly if I visited Beirut again. The staff were also most helpful and friendly.
Breakfast is standard Lebanese, good if you're staying for a few days, monotonous if you're staying for a week as I did. Enough variety for a few days.
