I booked a room 2 weeks in advance over phone and email (I re-confirmed my booking and asked for the her confirmation). When I called to the hostel 5 hours before arrival to Beirut, which was schedulled at 3am, the lady...

Pension Al Nazih offers everything budget travelers might expect. It's clean, has a friendly atmosphere and is located very close to Rue Gouraud (also to Monot Street), where you can find lots of pubs. It takes about 45 minutes to walk to Hamra Street. The private rooms are small and basic, but they feature satellite TV, shower, air condition etc.,...

The position in the middle of downtown is excelent. But the safety feels extremely poor. I stayed there for four nights and during this time there was one fistfight between a guest and member of the staff, and one burglary atempt. The magager and her staff is very friendly but has difficulties to obtain order in the hotel. A better...

I stayed there for 5 nights with my best friend. We had a double room with private bathroom, and it was reasonable enough even for two students. The manager is very friendly. We used to chat with her when we come back to hostel after dinner, she offered us tea, gave us daily news about political situation in lebanon and...

This place has an excellent manager, Jamal, who will help you with laundry, rooms, maps, or whatever. The pension is clean and in an easy, convenient location. BEWARE, however, the manager (a lady). I was there only 2 nights but saw 3 separate scams she was trying to run on people, from overcharging for taxis to the airport (DON'T book...

I shared a twin room with a friend in this budget hotel/hostel, conveniently located near the bars and restaurants of Gemmayzeh, as well as the bus/taxi station where the transport from Damascus/Amman stops. The hotel was basic but clean. The room was a moderate size with twin beds, a small balcony, and an attached bathroom with toilet and shower. The...

I stayed for one week in this hotel, and i would have moved if any other hostel had had any bed left. The staff was normal, they will help you but don't expect too much. My first and most important advise: avoid room nº 9. It's extremely tiny (i had trouble to opening my suitcase), damp in the walls and...

We didn't actually end up staying here. After checking prices on their website, we turned up only to be told the rooms were more expensive and the free wifi they advertise was actually 10US a night. The rooms were super basic for the price, although Lebanon generally is pretty expensive. Just a note of caution if you are booking based...
