i stayed here for one night, as an emergency and i actually enjoyed my stay, the staff were welcoming and informative when i asked them for directions regarding stores nearby. The hotel is old-fashioned and the rooms are traditionally styled. It generally has a cozy vibe to it and its overall very clean as well. There are two cute fountains...

The hotel room was okay. It was clean and all right for a middle class hotel. Location was fine, close to a metro station and the former US embassy. The staff at reception however was terrible. No communication, no service, and sour faces from the ladies at the desk.

Overall, its an ok 2 star hotel, but there's absolutely nothing special. Rooms are quite dated (as in the 1970s). Wifi works ok. Breakfast is solidly average for Iran (but sub-par for just about anywhere else).

As far as a 3-star accommodation Atlas Hotel is OK. Rooms are clean and spacious, and it is centrally located. Most of the staff I encountered are reasonably courteous (as typical for the Iranians I met during my trip to Iran). I would have given a 4-rating, but I encountered a few day-time reception staff who were outright unfriendly and...

Arriving at 3.30 am we were quickly checked in and shown to our accommodation. Our room in the second block with a courtyard view, was clean, reasonably spacious and with a large bathroom (shower only). Plenty of hot water. Interior decor is slightly old fashioned. The bedroom we had on our second and last stay smelt of cigarettes. Simple buffet...

I stayed here for two nights before and after a tour. The first night, they had no record of my reservation, (apparently the Iranian travel agencies fault). Having just arrived and being very tired I found the guy on reception very unhelpful. I showed him all my invoices from the travel company to no avail. After trying to sleep on...

The travel agency picked Atlas for us and we stayed for two nights at the end of Sept. It's truly basic, but honestly, compared to the other hotels in Iran that we stayed at, it's really not bad. The lobby is the only place that is tiny and miserable looking. We stayed in the building on the other side of...

Atlas is a nice option for the budget traveller providing all the basics (hot water and a comfortable bed and even air con during summer) with no frills. Food at the restaurant is very decent as well. This is a good choice for the traveller that just needs a bed for the night and little else.

I paid extra for a “double” room near the courtyatd, which I think was worth it but since I didn't see the other rooms, so I really can't compare. All in all, it's a 2-3 star hotel so I didn't expect much but the room was ok, in good conditionm and clean. Breakfast was just bread, eggs, and some cucumbers...

Visiting Tehran is not as scary or difficult as you've heard. The reception and restaurant staff at the Atlas Hotel are friendly and speak English. The rooms are spacious, bathrooms clean and have TV and frig. The air-con in late June was just the tonic after a long day. The better rooms overlook the hotel's pleasant courtyard. The buffet breakfast...
