Went there to use day pass for the pool. First time after called them and ask them about pass and pool they didn’t inform that in this day I can’t use pool coz it’s under maintenance. I went there again after few days. And I got so disappointed. First the water in the pool so hot. It’s feels that they don’t use cooling system. Or maybe coz they don’t have any customer there they in purpose don’t use coolers in full power. Another disappointment was about service of bar. First time they were very slow. To bring just water it’s took them at least 15 min. So one time when we were after they brought our drinks we asked them to keep bill open coz we going to order something else. The lady said ok. Then came some manager with very bad attitude and bad manners, he was rude. He told us that we can’t keep bill open and need to pay now, after we paid he didn’t even say thank u and just left . We were the only people there. Was no one else. Even the first time was no one there. And with all this bad service they change 20bd per person. Really it’s was very disappointing. We just closed our bill and left. Don’t recommend to go there at all !…
1 The staff are very bad in dealing and mistreated us so much , especially the security of the villas, they close the phone in my face and they are saying bad words for me and when I call the reception, they didn’t do anything they say that they will contact me and nobody did , All through I book for 3 nights and I pay around 400bh. To baaad I don’t recommend
I travelled to the Reef Resort in May 2022, which was about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi. It's a beautiful place on a quiet island, there's about 30 or so villas and each villa has 4 bedrooms / rooms. I was in the most "basic" one, but even that was great and had everything I wanted. I was the only person around the infinity pool (which is in the middle of the villas) on day one. The only days that it was even vaguely busy was on the weekend, and even then it was very quiet. I went to the gym most days, which is in the same building as the spa. Again, it was empty every day, I was the only one in the gym from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. City Centre mall is a 30 minute walk away, which is very big and most shops imaginable. Also has a cinema (some films in English) and plenty of restaurants to choose from. All in all, a great week!…
Good points: 1. Amazing location in Reef Island. Only drive for less than 5 mins to city centre of Manama. Plenty of places of interests and big famous shopping malls around. 2. Place itself: - Quite serene, quiet, good for retreat. It was just happened we came during the last days of Ramadan, so there were only less than 10 guests - Great hospitality and service - Large room - Good for sightseeing: beach, private beach, Manama skycrapers, nice expensive apartments, jogging tracks, island surrounding, small birds (inhabitants) chirping. - Great breakfast: only after Ramadan - Facility: private beach, only after Ramadan Things to improve: 1. Transparency: The place was not recommended during Ramadan. Not because the issue with Ramadan. But there was a lot of restriction which should be known to the guests before or in the websites. 2. Restrictions: - No access to saloon, private beach, children room - Since we don’t fast, we were only given a very basic continental breakfast: some breads, fruits, juice and coffee. There should be more typical choices like omelette and others, which can be easily made in a la carte mode. 3. MAJOR TURN OFF: - We stayed for 3 days, and during our stay, the access card to the main door of our villa was not working. Every time we need to either blocked the main door with a chair, or asked someone to accompany us to open the door for us. Few times the magnetic card was reinstated without success, and no technical solutions done. This is unacceptable. - There are about 40 villas with few rooms inside. But during our stay, as mentioned, probably only less than 10 rooms occupied. However, in our 3rd night, there was 1 group occupying another room in our same villa. Probably from hotel efficiency, it’s easier just to club as many of guests as possible in the same villa. If you have all rooms occupied, we understood. But with only less than 10 rooms in total probably 300+ rooms in 40 villas (less than 10 percent occupation) you clubbed us all together - Rude security: there was small incident involving our taxi driver who made a wrong drive in the wrong lane. Security just could communicate politely to them. Instead, at night time the moment we arrived back in our villa, security stopped our ride, and asked us to walk instead. We were the guests with full access to ride inside. Why discriminated us? If you have the issues, pls talk to the driver instead.…
So bad service. Very expensive without good service. The door for the bathroom was broken. Our suite for 4 persons but everything in the room for 2 when we ask the reception for more blanket they bring only one and side just we have one for now. and we aske for more towels they didn't bring. The bathroom has water on the floor not dry. There is no laundry bag as usual in the hotels.
The place is really amazing and the price is also affordable.. I didnt stay there but i went to inquire about good location to stay on my leave. I was very disappointed with the front desk staff, she was not welcoming at all. At least show some enthusiasm with your work. You are in the front desk, show some smile. So i decided to look somewhere else even it was more pricy but when people show some interest and treat you good, you will not mind about the price. Customer service is very important..
We recently stayed at this hotel for 1 week over the Eid Holiday in May 21. On the positive side the accommodation is very nice and the outdoor space within the resort is well maintained and a pleasant environment. Unfortunately the service by the staff is poor and most certainly not what is expected of a 5 star hotel; specifically in the one open restaurant. The biggest problem is that the staff are all relatively inexperienced. We tried our best to overlook this given the tough time that the travel and hotel industry has been through but poor service is poor service ie. Breakfast service was takeing 2 hours to complete, 45 minute wait for coffee or any drinks etc. This ultimately led to us cancelling our breakfast package due to the excessive waiting times in a relatively empty restaurant with hardly anyone dining. Of greater frustration was the acknowledgement of staff that it was bad by the constant apologies for such delays. I would recommend the resort for the outdoor space/beach and accommodation but could not recommend any of the limited dining services. Given the price of the accommodation is comparable to international 5* hotel chains I'd recommend you consider what service you expect before committing to a booking. In conclusion this resort has the potential to.be great but is currently missing this opportunity and does not meet the claimed 5* status by a considerable distance. We would go back but only once the customer service has been sorted out and all the advertised restaurants are open. In the interim we would choose another internationally recognised 5* hotel …
Me and my husband stayed at the Reef Resort in Bahrain for an overnight stay on Feb 14, 2020 to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The Resort, which is in an area they call Reef Island, is very near Bahrain City Centre, one of the biggest, if not the biggest, mall in Bahrain. The Resort is surrounded by greenery and water. They have cafes/restaurants around but you may have to consider dining out if you want more varieties. They have a jewelry shop as well, some of the items of which are displayed at the Reception. The Reception is located at the far end of the resort, near the separate buildings for female and male spa. Not a big area but has ample seating. Some of the cafe/resto are housed here. Parking space is a problem, though. Accommodation in the Resort is in villas, with each villa having about 5 rooms each. We were on the 2nd floor of our assigned villa. Room key is the same key you use to get in and out of the villa and in the elevator. There’s limited parking space in each villa (ours only had 2 despite the villa having 5 rooms). Thankfully, there was only 1 car parked when we arrived so we had the other one. We had a suite, which was uniquely decorated with an Asian touch. There’s a bay window with 2 comfy chairs where we had relaxing coffee/tea, and where in-room dining personnel set up a lovely Valentine’s dinner for us (they did a great job!). Living room is good enough size for my husband and me, but the tv does not show much international channels. Bathroom/toilet is big with a jacuzzi in it, a separate shower and separate toilet with bidet. It’s a shame, though, that there was something wrong with the faucet of the wash basin (water was dripping beneath every time we used). Also, water spilled out of the elevated shower area when you take a shower. By the time we checked out, there was water all over the bathroom floor! The restaurant for breakfast has a nice ambience, overlooking the sea. Pool is nearby, also a lovely garden and a kids’ zone. There were seating both inside and outside and ample selection of foods and beverages. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Reef Resort. All personnel were accommodating, helpful and polite. Amenities were good. Would consider again for a special occasion. …
So sad for a beautiful Resort. Bad shower which didn't work. No warm water, it took 20 minutes to heat. We had to ask for extra shower gel/shampoo (there was only one in each room). We had a 3 badroom villa. But all of them had same issues. No showercaps no sewer kit. After check out, they deduct deposit Credit card by mistake. It took us days before someone calls back to give some explanation. Way to expensive resort. Not a 5 Star
I stayed for one night there on New Years evening. Calming place, luxury, romantic, friendly staff, very good food, amazing spa and a gigantic artificial sandy beach. I really recommend this place for everyone couples, family or even solo traveler as you will enjoy every moment there.
