This is a simple hotel, but adequate for the price. The rooms are small, with little room for baggage, and the bathrooms are old and cramped, but the bed was comfortable.

We were very glad we spent 2 nights in this hotel, friendly, helpful staff, on a quiet street, large room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Thought you would have to be super fussy if you couldn't find anything you liked for breakfast. They organised...More

Hi there. There is a daily bus to Petra leaving from Amman early in the morning. I am not sure where you would pick it up if staying at Madaba. A taxi ride to Amman from Madaba is inexpensive and can be arranged by Charl at Hotel Mariam. We chose to go to Petra from Madaba by private car with a driver arranged by Charl. It has the advantage that you can make a diversion to umm al rasas (well worth a visit) and to Kerac Castle. Set price of around 70 - 80 JD.
