Rafi Hotel has the best staff I've ever met! They were so warm & helpful and always made sure I was comfortable. Its in a wonderful location with some great things to do and see all within walking distance. An easy five minute walk to the Roman amphitheater. The walk to the citadel is a little tougher; but doable. The Roman Nymphaeum is right across the street. Absolutely wonderful!!

Just a few things 1st yes the location is great and it's cheap. But there is no restaurant or coffee shop on site! I'm not sure why it says that in the description. Mini bar? Sorry not sure where that was. Yes there's a huge fridge in the room but nothing in it. The room is not sound proof - ask for a room on the back. The traffic is 24/7, beeping at all hours. The shower was mostly scalding! Yes it's basic and that's ok because it is a cheap hotel. The location is great! A true down town experience. It is a bit shabby, the bath mat looks a bit like it needs a new one! A little TLC would go a long way in this place. And if there's no kettle in the room then maybe coffee/ tea could be available in the breakfast room - I would have even paid for it. Air con - good, bed - good size. Location - great!

As the title says, I think I made the best choice for my one day stay in Amman. My Palestinian Jordan born boyfriend disagrees, but that's a bit too late. So... for a one day stay, this hotel is perfect. It's close to all historical sites in Amman, that are within walking distance. You can have a taste of the craziness of the bustling city right by your window, literally. In a serious tone, if you want to sleep early as I did, ask for a room facing the back. It's quiet. The staff is extremely helpful, as all Jordan people are. I could have married there tens of times! The room was really clean, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom was huge. This hotel offers more that it seems to. Free a/c, as this one is a must in almost all seasons. Good job!

Right in the center of downtown, a block from the Roman ruins. The main market was a block the other way. It was easy to walk up to the citadel on top of the mountain. This is a bustling area. The hotel was clean, hot water shower, elevator, helpful staff and included breakfast. There is a mosque near by so the morning call to prayer does remind you what time it is. The hotel is fairly priced.

Rafi Hotel's location is very good--directly in the center of the the city near the market, Roman ruins, restaurants (try Hashem Restaurant for lots of good food at a low price), shops, etc. Also, there are two large, excellent bakeries a few doors down. I was very comfortable in the clean room that had very good wifi, and I was pleased with the competence and friendliness of the staff. If you get a room at the front of the hotel, you will have an excellent view of the city center and all of its frenetic activity. The staff will go out of their way to arrange transportation, make sure you are comfortable and respond to questions. I had no problems here and would be happy to return one day.
