Avoid Saturday because something unpleasant can happen to you. There is a restaurant under our room and there was a noisy wedding on Saturday night. During the wedding and the next morning, access to the ground floor was only by lift, the staircase was locked. This is contrary to the fire safety of the guests. The hotel is depreciated and worn. Our bathroom lacked a hairdryer. But the towels were changed every day. 3 stars is greatly exaggerated.
As we were not supposed to sleep in Amman, we were brought last minute to the Meneur hotel for the night. This 3* hotel is probably 2* in Canada. Old and tired rooms, non-smoking but smelling cigarettes, dirty carpet and quite dated bathrooms. However, food was fine.
Great little hotel, but a little outside of Amman (uber around $5 and 30 mins to centre of town). Clean with a great evening meal and breakfast. Turn left out of the hotel and a great little shisha bar, ladies very welcome.
As for location,it's up to you what you need. Remember, that traffic in Amman is pretty heavy. The hotel itself offers very comfortable beds in well equipped, albeit on the small side, rooms. Don't count on any views from the rooms at the back. A kettle, fridge, armchair added to the comfort. Nice restaurant with a good choice of tasty dishes. We were satisfied with our stay.
Short stay here (thsnkfully). Front desk very aloof to say the least. It was a nice, clean place but we felt I welcomed. The room was okay but T.V. was lacking. The in hotel restaurant was sufficient and served decent local food fare. The property is situated on Amani street with pkentybof options to dine/shop/zest roll. There was an authentic Starbucks only 4-5 streets away.
