Stayed on the third floor, carpet with stains and old everything, we had a small TV but we didn't even try to turn it on. Were advised that the water needs 5 minutes running before it gets hot. Good location, but run down place and it haven't seen investment in years. Payed 20 JD and came without reservation in low season. I would avoid it, buy I heard the rooms on the forth floor are better.

The reason why this hotel gets mixed reviews is because some rooms are updated while others are not. I didn't make any booking (foolish because you never know what you get when you book), I just showed up. I was shown various rooms in different price categories. The biggest rooms in the top floor are the best in value. They are excellent in value, indeed! Rooms facing the street are noisier but the Roman Theater view is great while the rooms at the backside are very quiet. There are more rooms facing the street.

Room was adequate and clean enough, but a bit run down and past it's best. Comfortable bed and AC. Our room was at the back and we didn't have any issues with traffic noise. The shower was hot and powerful though the hot water took around 5 mins to come through so do persist! Very friendly and helpfull staff. Fantastic view of the Roman theatre from the roof terrace. Breakfast was basic but adequate, though you have to specifically ask for it. Not a fault of the hotel, and surprisingly for a capital city, we did find it difficult to find eating options in the immediate vicinity. Downtown Amman is a shopping district and doens't have much in the way of restaurants, though in the end we found a nice local place on the way to the mosque.

Ok so many people have written about the cleasnliness of this hotel and they are right! But you're not paying five star prices its 12 JD for a single room.. so if you want a great location and a cheap price then stay here.. But don't complain when you notice its a bit dusty and unclean... i stayed here 2 days and the staff were friendly ... can't say any more about it than that!!
