By the Lemon Tree is an exceptional place in Jebel Al Weibdeh. The location, the interior, the food, the atmosphere, the service. It's simply perfect! I warmly recommend it and would love to come back!

A familiar context with high level of professionalism and dedication in making it the best quality-price option in town, especially for mid/long term stays. Breakfast is of good quality and access to kitchen allows you to make your own food. Location is great too and the brunch in the weekend is a must-try experience. Only recommendation is to bring a... Thanks to the entire Lemon Tree family. We arrived to spotless rooms, a great breakfast, laundry and room to stretch out in the kitchen, the room top terrace. We felt welcome at every step. We came and went over a few days and our crazy hours of coming and going were accommodated. Even a late check out on our last... More

Spent two nights at the lemon tree. Rooms are clean and spacious. Common areas are very nice. Please note that the lemon tree caters to business travelers or the independent tourist. If you need a front desk to call you a taxi rather then walking down the street to get your own then this is not the place for you.... More

Not a hotel but a great place to stay. Location is ideal, rooms are very nice and inclusive breakfast is served in a cosy kitchen/diner/lounge area. Nice roof terrace with nice views over the city. This is the kind of place you want to keep to yourself so not sure why I am posting this. Guido arranged transport to and from... More

The attitude of the owner is so off-putting that it really detracts from what would otherwise be a nice place to stay. As you can see for yourself in his responses to other (positive) reviews on this site - he is quite rude and inflexible. It was unfortunate to encounter such rudeness in Jordan of all places, where all the... More

Meeowwww Anne!! Yes, it is all true. Annascan and her friends are the proud recipients of a piece of my mind for sheer aloofness, grandiose self absorption and utter incoherence. I even still have all 21 emails, 14 notices on Booking.com and 4 text messages it took in order to arrange their 3 day Spring Break getaway. And that doesn't... More

Amman was our first stop in Jordan after a long day coming from Brussels. We quickly forgot the hectic ride coming from the airport with our rental car once the gate opened. Although it isn't clearly mentioned by means of sign, just ask the police at the italian embassy where you can find this marvelous B&B. After 2 minutes we... More

I was only able to stay one night upon my arrival here but Guido had arranged an early Friday am pickup at the airport for I was traveling with my dog. By The Lemon Tree is in Jabal el Webdeh, my favourite area in Amman, where you can (even) walk, and (even) have a bottle of wine! I spent here a week working in Amman. The place is really cool. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in early January. The clean, comfortable room, spacious common area, and cozy breakfast room were welcome respites from the cold. Guido hosts a wide range of guests and pets, all in a convivial atmosphere. I would definitely recommend, and I would definitely stay here again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Owner occupied B&B in the traditional style. We live downstairs whilst guest accommodation along with a lounge and kitchen are on the upper floors accessible through a separate entrance. By The Lemon Tree is not a hotel. There is no reception, no telephone operator nor is there a reservations department nor indeed, are there Bell Boys to greet you upon your arrival. Effectively, this means that your bed will not be turned down at sunset so that you won't get a chocolate on your pillow either. By the Lemon Tree is our home. We live on the ground floor whilst guest accommodation is arranged on the upper floors accessible through a separate entrance. By The Lemon Tree is ideally suited to independent professionals that require a functional short term base in Amman but that do not require hand holding on a daily basis. ATTENTION! When making your way to our house, remember that despite the existence of street names, in Jordan nobody uses addresses. Also, not only are taxi drivers thoroughly unfamiliar with addresses but more often than not, they are not familiar with any areas of town other than major venues. In order to facilitate your transfer By The Lemon Tree, contact us prior to starting your trip so we can direct you to the best way to get here ... more   less
