We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights between arriving in Amman and the start of a tour and then again at the end of the tour before leaving Amman. It was fine for something like this. Staff were friendly and helpful and promptly addressed our concerns of which we had a few, although they were minor. We asked for additional towels and more toilet paper which were delivered quickly. There were problems with the TV and wifi which staff were not really able to solve. Some TV channels had poor reception and the wife was slow or not working. The air conditioning did not work well, which seemed to be a problem with hotels in Jordan in general. The dinner buffet was very basic and on one night we were one of only six guests so dinner was made especially for us. The gesture was nice but it was more than we could eat. Other than that it was clean and there was a small supermarket nearby. It's on a main road so ask for a room at the back. Ours was and it was quiet.

I had to move from my hotel in Amman to Retaj as I wanted to expand my visit and my hotel was fully booked, the room is spacious and clean but it was super noisy because of noise coming from street and because of staff attitude.. I put do not disturb sign on my door however the cleaning guy was putting his equipment just infront of my door and making huge noise that woke me up at 6 am. As for breakfast nothing is special and I ordered Greek salad at my room but it was v bad.

It was the first experience to me to be in Retaj hotel, the first image was great, it’s the reception man who admires is in his way of welcoming, besides the roomy lobby. And the most important to me was those who are working in the coffee shop who offers hot drinks fir free reflecting the lovely Jordanian culture. I advice strongly trying this nice hotel.

Stay here with G Adventures. It’s not near the downtown area but is probably closer for business stays. They staff was nice and the breakfast was decent. They rooms were warm and there was plenty of hot water

I stayed here as part of my G Adventures tour last month. It was a comfortable stay with friendly and helpful service. Check-in was fast and I even used the hotel car once to take me into the downtown area. I paid the driver 5 JD as opposed to the 2-3 JD I would have paid for a cab. The breakfast buffet was just OK. There was only fruit one of the mornings. I wanted more of a hot breakfast so I ordered an omelette from the kitchen. It was nice to have eggs and toast each morning! I also ordered room service one night. Overall this hotel was clean and friendly.
