I stayed at the Maxim before the Coronavirus crisis and returned this month hoping it wouldn't have lost its charm. It didn't and was possibly even better than before. Location is brilliant a few steps from the beach which you see from the panoramic roof terrace, rooms are simple but comfortable and well appointed, breakfast is comprehensive, there seems to be more food in the afternoon next to the free coffee and fruit, and still the wine hour for all guests on the rooftop in the evening. The hotel provides beach towels in convenient green bags perfect to put your book and bottle of water, and quite frankly, I like everything about it.

Hotel's Favourite
Great location, clean, very friendly staff and flexible additude all around. Bit small but clean rooms and good airconditioning. Breakfast good and for extra they make you omellets by order (no extra cost). It was also nice suprise to have complimentary coffee and biscuits all day and sparkling wine on rooftop around sunset hour. Easy to travel with local busses and also go to the beach on the other side of the road. Highly recommended.

This hotel has everything you need. It is across the street from the beach (they even provide towels). You can fuel up with coffee all day long, they have a Happy Hour in the afternoon and a generous breakfast buffet in the morning (that was included in our rate). Most of the staff was smiling and welcoming (apart from one front desk man that could not be bothered to be interrupted from his phone call).

Small boutique hotel located just across the street from the beach and 15 min walk to Carmel market. Rooftop oasis an added gem - lay on a lounge chair under an umbrella at the stunning view of the beach without breaking a sweat. Coffee/tea/cookies/fruit available in the lobby all day with wine added around 7pm. Rooms are small but adequate. Towels and bag available to borrow at the front desk to use at the beach. Hotel was able to give us a discount to keep our room for the day we were leaving (1am flight so we just wanted to be able to shower), or we could have kept luggage (free) by the front desk. Breakfast was fine - not outstanding - but enough food.

This hotel is an excellent value for the money. It is in a great location near the city center and beach that is surrounded by many more expensive establishments. The views from my fifth-story room and the rooftop terrace are spectacular! An excellent Israeli breakfast is included; fruit, cheese, and coffee are available around the clock; and there is a terrific early evening happy hour included in the price. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, particularly the young lady. Highly recommended!

The Maxim was the perfect hotel in Tel Aviv. Located a few steps from the beach, it has darling, well-appointed rooms, a gorgeous rooftop deck, helpful staff and (get this) a STOPPER for the SINK! I know that is a weird thing to fixate on, but I did two weeks in Israel with only carry-on luggage, and having the ability to wash things out in the hotel sink was a key to that plan. Our two other hotels either did not have stoppers, or one that didn't work. I spent a lot of time in this room, since I was quarantined for Covid there, and couldn't ask for a better place.

Not only did they come to our rescue (see Central Hotel Tel Aviv review) they went above and beyond. Where to begin?! Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, they’re cheerful and welcoming, nothing is difficult and there’s an attitude of “here to make your holiday fabulous”. Room is clean, comfortable, lovely soft towels, beach view, big comfy bed and housekeeping staff who get to know you. There’s food/snacks throughout the day, all free, and wine, again free, in the evening. Even though I don’t drink I know this is a good deal! I’m struggling to pick one thing that makes the Maxim stand out, I think it’s the melding of everything that makes this such a joyful place to stay.

The maxim was a great hotel to stay in while in tel aviv. For starters, the location was perfect — steps away from the beach a few blocks from the main city. The rooftop view is also exceptional. It faces the sea (west) so it’s perfect for sunset. The hotel offers free breakfast which was okay and happy hour wine and snacks which we enjoyed on the roof. They also give beach towels. The only downfall was the size of the rooms. They were quite small especially for two people, BUT this is quite standard for tel aviv. Overall, we will definitely be coming back!

Excellent location with wonderful sea views and great rooftop terrace. A park across the street allowing for superb views to the Beach and the Sea! Wine hour (from 5pm for at least a few hours) was a nice treat. Make sure to take your wine to the rooftop terrace for an amazing sunset experience. Ample and comfortable seating. Staff were just great to me. From check in to daily check ups how I was enjoying myself and the City. They arranged a taxi for me in Shabbat to Jerusalem which was appreciated. Best of all I forgot an item in my room and messaged them and they found it and are holding it for me for my return to Tel Aviv on departure. Truly appreciate that extra gesture.
