Don’t stay here. Not a Marriott level hotel. Compete Chaos. I am a Gold Elite member. I have never experienced a stay like this in my life. My wife got to the hotel 10 minutes earlier. 30 Mins pasr midnight. We had just one hotel card. She gave my name to security staff and said I went to the grocery store and would come back in 10. When I came back the doorman told me: no, you can’t go in. I explained and gave her details and he shrugged and pout to security staff. They all said that they had no info and humiliated me I front of everyone there. I called my wife to come back downstairs and immediately they changed stories and remembered her, and then star to say that all this was for our security. I said Several times that I have my ID and that the reservation was in my name and they said that was both enough?!? Then I said, let me go to the reception desk to check, the response was negative: After all this their excuse what that the doorman, at an international hotel, did not understand english (although he spoke to me some words) and all was just normal (!!!) security procedure. This is really not a Marriott or Bonvoy property, Believe me. Don’t get fooled and do not stay here. There is no minibar, no Ice (unless you go downstairs within operating hours) no decent room service (waited 20 minutes to get answered ).…
We came for the weekend with family, had 6 rooms in total. The food was very good, services was amazing, good price and location. The only thing that could use some redecorating is the pool. Defiantly coming back!
We stayed at the Renaissance Tel Aviv as part of a wedding group (about 30 of us). The hotel is a throwback to the days when hotels were about personal touch and hospitality. The staff we encountered was friendly and professional, helpful and responsive and seemed to genuinely appreciate that we were their guests and that we chose to stay with them ahead of all the other choices. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained and still had all the little extra features that a full-service hotel should have.
I have stayed at the Renaissance before and was so excited to come back. It was disappointing. Hotel needs to be renovated. It is very dated. We were told a head of time the Executive Lounge would be open but it was closed. Staff not helpful or kind. Things did not work in the room. Even the sheets were not comfortable, and the nice toiletries from Dead Sea are no longer available. On the positive side, breakfast was good and the view is amazing.
we stay in the hotel this month. we suppose to stay for 4 night after the first night we left . the hotel have very bad service and cleaning .we ask 7 times to clean and no one don't clean . choose a different hotel when you in Tel Aviv .
The hotels near the Tel Aviv beach are very expensive and popular and the Renaissance was actually one of the hotels that became so run down that it was a bad choice. Many of the rooms have been updated and improved and it is a decent hotel again. It is not 5 star, but it is a decent value choice if you want to stay at a great location.
Along with the other reviews I agree the hotel is run down and dated. It's a 3 start hotel with 4+ prices. It looks like there doing some work on the outside because there is scaffolding on the beach side, though I didn't see anyone working during my stay. I booked the top tier room and requested a high floor with a good view. Apparently they didn't read my request because I got a room on a low floor with a lousy view. I complained at the front desk and the gentlemen said they couldn't change my room because they were completely sold out. ( But the hotel was empty.. and they have 342 rooms) He finally found a room on a higher floor with a good view, but it was only a 'deluxe' room. I took it but they didn't reduce my rate to the deluxe room price because it was 'at my request'. I liked the view to the south because it faces Jaffa and beautiful at night. I was also surprised that most of the staff didn't speak very good English, though I was happy to see so many people working post Covid. I think it's going to be a busy summer from them with tourism coming back from abroad. I must say some of the staff were very kind, especially the manager Abe who was very welcoming and addressed my concerns the best he could. Also the bartender in the lobby was great and one of the bellman really helpful, though I didn't catch their names. The Sheraton 2 doors down is much nicer.…
I made the unfortunate mistake of staying at the Renaissance Tel Aviv in Israel. Let me start with the positive, the location. That is where is ends. After that, the hotel is a major disappointment. It is dirty, not renovated, as advertised. The lady who hands out towels for the beach is so nasty and cranky. The bar fridge in one of the rooms looks like it was purchased in a garage sale. The breakfast is average at best. Way below every other hotel we stayed at during our stay in Israel. Israel hotels are famous for their breakfasts, not this hotel. You could hear people talking and baby’s crying from other rooms when you were in the bathroom via the ventilation system. The halls smelt like someone was cooking in their room. Bird crap on the deck. This was a daily occurrence. We arrived into our room with half filled body soap and shampoo containers. They advertise the hotel as 4 stars, let me be very clear, this is not a four star hotel. I brought this forward to the manager and his response, offer of compensation, was insulting. As a gold member of Marriott for 10 plus years, I certainly don’t feel that I am a very valued client. Marriott maybe has just grown to large and lost their customer service edge. Do yourself a favour and find another hotel and enjoy the beautiful city of tel aviv and all of Israel’s beauty!…
On arrival at 01:00 I was greeted with a very unfriendly security guard who wasn’t even wearing an identifiable uniform sat on a podium outside the door. This is not someone who should be working in hospitality, he was unpleasant. The receptionist was half asleep and totally disinterested. The room was like a time warp from the 1990s with dark furniture and a mini bar and safe that must have each been 25 years old at a minimum. The view from my north facing room was directly into the adjacent hotel. The coffee machine had to be manhandled to work properly because it was damaged. There was no milk (or even powdered milk) for tea/coffee. On getting into the room at 01:00 there wasn’t even a single bottle of water in the room. The following two days the cleaner left two small bottles. On one occasion I asked for more and the cleaner offered to bring it to me… she was never to be seen again. This is an expensive hotel and quality of the staff and attention to details do not reflect the price.…
The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location on the beach! All of the employees were friendly and helpful and provided excellent advice and guidance to our queries. I would definitely recommend staying here!
