This is a very good hotel, situated close to the Old Jerusalem and Ben Yehuda centre. Our apartment was very quiet and had all the facilities. Staff were very nice and helpful, especially that I had an accident and sprained my ankle. Down the road there is a restaurant named The Focaccia where they serve pizza and traditional local food at very good prices. We ended up going there most of the time when we came back from very long day trips. Also, the hotel is well known and the trip tours do pick up from this hotel which is a bonus.
Stayed here for two nights it is nice. The room is large with a sitting area and balcony and bar. Some people gave mixed reviews. The place can you some TLC but you are not going to get better with this location for the price. FYI. No parking. TripAdvisor and Google list parking as an amenity there is no parking. The reception can recommend a place a few blocks away. I would stay here again
Location is great, hotel needs a bit of maintenance work. We stayed in a suite on the 6th floor. My daughter slept on a sleeper couch which was so low and flimsy it felt like she was sleeping on the floor. Also the area she slept looks like a stoep that was covered, it was winter and terribly cold in that area. Windows filthy and curtains had mould on it! Bathroom was tiny you could hardly move in it. Couch had stains on it and the bed linen can be upgraded, had holes in it. The stay was not bad but it was not a great hotel
Spent 8 nights here. Very disappointed, photos don't reflect that hotel is run down. Furniture on balconies dirty & rusted. Couch was stained, cleaners had not removed empty plastic bottle & lollywrappers from under bed. Service from reception staff minimal except for one young lady who was helpful & friendly. Asked one gentleman to book airport transfer & he forgot, didn't apologise either! First 3 nights of our stay our sleep was interrupted by noise from 73 young people who were out on balconies partying until early hours of morning, a bottle was thrown onto our balcony on one occasion we did request change of room & were moved. Curtains in new room had mould on the back. The location of hotel was good however would not stay here again or recommend.
Only two good things to say about this hotel: location is good, and front desk employees are nice (however not helpful). Hotel room was dirty and, once moved to another room, the other rooms shower flooded every time we showered. Flooded bad. We immediately reported this inconvenience to the front desk, and never heard back from them for the remainder of our stay. The photos of the rooms are not an accurate depiction of what you're paying for. Save your money. I am not the type to be overly picky, but I wish I read I review like this BEFORE booking Hillel 11. Next time we come, we will happily pay 20% more for 5 times the hotel.
