This hotel is located in East Jerusalem across from the Damascus Gate. This places it in the middle of the Muslim Quarter of the Old City. This area is not safe particularly for Jews and tourists from the West. The entrance to the Muslim Quarter is safe guarded by IDF soldiers when entering from the Jewish Quarter and their are...

The hotel is located in the center of Jerusalem. We are a couple of minutes from Damascus Gate, very close to the majority of the tourist sites including the Holy Sepulcher, Via deLaRosa the Garden Tomb and others. Of the prominent institutions in our area, with links with the world, and that attracts lots of Pilgrims to the city, the...

The hotel has a charm, different from the standard fare.....The building is old and my bedroom with it high ceilings had a door about 8 feet up the wall....The stay was worth the experience...The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make out stay pleasant,....The restaurant was standard Palestinian food...

We ate here on a Friday night. Ordered the hummus (NIS 18) appetizer, it was nondescript and forgettable. Ordered the mixed grill as I had a craving for some mixed grill. For NIS 89 I expected a lot more in both quality and quantity. The chicken and the minced meat kebabs were average, the lamb was decent but not quite...

Just the best place to stay in Jerusalem - brilliantly convenient for the Old City and all else especially West Bank sites. Full of character and charm. Don't expect 5-star, chain hotel add-ons: it's not about that. (If you like Hilton and Best Western, stay away!). I always stay in Arab East Jerusalem - generally I find the West (Israeli)...

We stayed in this wonderful place for two nights in early March 2014 while touring Jerusalem. The location is wonderful for a tourist because it is just three short blocks to the Damascus Gate. It is easy to go into the old city for even short excursions and return several times a day if you wish to rest. The building...

I really liked this place. It's such a cool and unique hotel. There are shared sitting rooms throughout and it's a cute little castle-looking hotel. The rooms are amazing. There are a few reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. One, the bathroom (in my room at least) was so narrow that I could barely use the toilet and I'm...

I stayed here in December and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was warm and comfy. The best part is the restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. It was very close to the old city/ so close that I could pop back to rest and go out again (for us Jerusalem was a bit tiring!)

Great location - 2 minute walk to Damascus Gate (Old City) and very close to the new tramway (from where you can to Jaffa Street & West Jerusalem in 5 mins). The restaurant / cafe / bar is excellent - fresh, local, Palestinian cuisine. Much used by journalists, activists, writers, diplomats etc., so a good place to meet people and...

Stayed here a few years ago. It was my first time to Jerusalem. I loved the location. It's a very short walk to Damascus Gate. Rooms are OK. It's a bit pricey for the value but the staff is really nice and they have a very nice restaurant and bar area on a terrace out front of the hotel. I...

The only thing good about this small hotel is the location which is fairly close to the Damascus gate. A part for this, it is a very poor value for money proposition . There is no elevator. The rooms are gloomy, and noisy. We came here in December and the heating system was not working. We felt cold in our...
