For families traveling with kids or anyone on a budget, this place is wonderful. It is located steps (out the door, across the plaza, right then left) from Machene Yehuda (Jerusalem's great central market and foodie mecca) So you can eat like a king. There are excellent bakery cafes steps from the hotel (out the door, down the steps, turn...

After going downhill for years, the owners have decided to put some money in restoring this wonderfully located hotel. The lobby, elevators, rooms and even the entranceway have been repaired or upgraded...and it shows! The staff was pleasant , helpful and responsive. Only the laundry room remains substandard but there is a great drop off laundry about a block away...

This hotel seems to have read and responded to the complaints. It was clean, they have wi-fi (but you have to pay extra for it), and front desk staff were helpful to me, advising me on various things and getting me a cheap sherut (communal taxi) to the airport. I asked for a quiet room, and they gave me one...

they hotel staff is mean and unhelpful, the rooms are small, the hallways smell like smoke, and the food is gross. the only thing good about this hotel is that it is in the heart of Jerusalem right next to ben yehuda and close to the shuk. i love Jerusalem but this hotel is just pretty awful.

The staff are not nice, it looks like an hotel from the late 70's The food taste bad. The whole experince felt bad because of the poor condition of the room. My room was very dirty, as well as there is no Wifi there.. but the main problem is the noise that the hotel cleanning man does at 6:30 am...

The hotel, and room were fine. Only annoying thing was no wifi (also not in the lobby) There were also terminals in the lobby which were not free. In 2013, in a city and country where free wifi is all over the place, this seems pretty cheap of them, since it is available if you pay. Other than that, also...

The only good thing about this old, dirty hotel is the location. It is in the heart of the city, close to shops, the Mehane Yehuda market, and on many good bus lines. I'm not sure what delerious state others were in when they stayed there, but this place needs a good cleaning from top to bottom. The desk staff...

We stayed here as part of a tour. The location could not have been better, near the markets and Ben Yehuda shopping area! It is dated and could have been cleaner, but the rooms were big and the service was good. I knew It was a 3 star hotel and it did meet those expectations...I would stay there again anytime!

Situated in the very center Jerusalem - just as hinted by its name - near by all the city's attractions - lies the humble, yet excellent hotel Lev Yerushalaim ("The heart of Jerusalem"). Large, comfortable and nicely equipped rooms, professional and individual services, homely tasted food - what else one can expect from a hotel? We found this hotel by...

I just spent 10 days at Lev Yerushalayim. You cannot beat the location. It is right on top of Ben Yehuda Street (walk through strip of restaurants shops, clubs, and bars). It is around the corner from the light rail and it is walking distance to the old city and the wailing wall. Each morning I'd go down and eat...
