First of all, while it is true this hotel's "glory days" are in the past, 7 Arches remains a great place to stay while in Jerusalem. The view of the Old City is incredible, probably the most famous in the world. I encountered nothing but clean rooms and the daily upkeep was excellent. Maybe the hotel could do something to...

This hotel is in a great location but the rooms are very run down. You need to walk up a flight of stairs to check in which is a problem with people who have disabilities since there is no elevator. The first room we were sent to had no TV, then we were moved to a higher floor with a...

The good location, availability of parking and comfortable clean beds are the positive side of the hotel. It how-ever needs a serious make-over. Buckets standing in the passages to catch dripping water from leaking pipes from the roof, to false fire alarm and nobody seems to know were to switch IT off at 2 in the morning. Hotel definitely not...

I travel alot and this was the most terrible hotel that I ve stayed in in my entire life. This hotel was built more than 30 years ago and I am sure it remained as it is. I am not sure if it got cleaned during all this time. This hotel is expensive, dirty and broken. Bathrooms are in a...

This is bang opposite the old city of Jerusalem. No other hotel beats the view. The hotel as such has become old and used. There are no lifts, but there's just ground and 1st floor. So, those with heavy bags please ask for the ground floor. For a day in Jerusalem, this is well and good. The Buffet is okay, nothing...

To begin with the positive: A good location at the mount olive in walking distance to the old city. However on the way back it is very steep up the hill... the rooms and the beds are okay and quiet. Nevertheless the hotel is a wreck that reminded me of some hotels in Russia or in Romania. Wear-down, mass-style tourism....

amazing view on the whole Jerusalem! a lovely garden outside where you can sit back and have a drink. Free wi-fi in the lobby ( a pity not in the rooms...). Delicious food. Friendly service. I guess everything you need to be satisfied. ;)

The 7 Arches was in a great location, on the Mont of Olives over looking the city, what a view it was, and you can walk down to the Old City. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, the front desk was very helpful and friendly, also with Beinhairm tours. Large dinning area, full excellent breakfast buffet included, the servers...

I have often wondered if roses have thorns or thorns have roses. The 7 Arches is set in contrast to both the geography and the politics in which finds itself. The service and the food in the restaurant were a wonderful oasis in such a beautiful land of turmoil.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Seven Arches Jerusalem is the southern slopes of the Mount of Olives, not far from the Mount Scopus and looks out from the west, at the Old City of Jerusalem with perhaps one of the more beautiful, most inspiring views of living ancient history in the world. To the north, the hotel overlooks the backdrop of the hills of Bethlehem surrounded by large Green Garden. In an effort to better serve our guests, Hotel Seven Arches is proud to announce that our renovation project is now in its final stages, and will be completed in one month. Your stay will now be even more enhanced by the upgraded rooms, restaurants, and lobby area. Our rooms freshly renovated in 2016, few of them with the best view of Jerusalem, now offer modernized, convenient features. Rooms are completely refurbished from carpet to curtains, furniture to fixtures, while the bathrooms are newly refreshed with all new bathroom hardware, lighting and mirrors. Hotel Seven Arches is a short distance from the ancient historical and religious sites of the Holy City and is the perfect base for excursions to Bethlehem, Jericho, Masada, Galilee and beyond. Transportation from Ben Gurion International in Tel-Aviv to the hotel is 50Km (31-60 min. by taxi), and from the hotel to the city center of Jerusalem is 3 km (2-5min. by taxi). Official languages are Arabic and English, Hebrew is widely spoken, and many speak French, German, and Spanish. ... more   less
