Best part of this hotel is the view!! Hotel was recently renovated and it was long over-due. That said, I have stayed at this hotel on my annual visits since 2013. I was most impressed with the renovations. Something that speaks to the integrity of a hotel is the staff. From cleaning to front desk and every position in between,...

Checked into the seven arches hotel, and within 10 minutes one of our party traveling with us had someone push past her into her room and stole her handbag with passport, money etc. Hotel were helpful, but didn't offer to upgrade or anything. Wifi is terrible and the excuse given by the hotel is the same excuse I see they...

Dear guest Thank you very much for the review, and I am sorry about the incident with one of your group members. Unfortunately it just happened, and we have taken immediately action and the case is still being handled by the police. Dear guest Thank you very much for reviewing the hotel Seven Arches. I appreciate the nice remarks about the hotel, location, and staff. The Internet is being installed with better equipment and higher transmission, it is a matter of days and the whole property and the rooms will have WIFI.

The rooms are a bit spartan, but they are very clean. Nice gift shop to purchase items to take home. The dining is very good with a magnificent view of Old Jerusalem. Lovely rose garden at the back of the grounds. Located on the Mount of Olives not far from Hebrew University.

We entered the hotel just to look aound, and were very impressed. The place was built by the JOrdanians, and is now managed by The Israeli ministry of tourism, a rather unique situation. I liked especially the large dining room with the windows of the arches giving a magnificent view towards theold city.

The goods: the location is right where the tour buses park to visit the mount of olives and walk down to numerous other sites. And the rooms are halfway decent. Also the night restaurant staff was very nice. And laundry service was good and affordable. You also get an amazing view of the city from the front of the hotel...

Thank you for the review of the Seven Arches, and appreciate the good comments as well as the negative points. I appreciate the remarks concerning the WiFi, the matter is under consideration, the...

I stayed while it was being renovated, and thus the facilities provided were not satisfactory. The view is excellent. It's located in a central location, which is pretty close to a lot of site seeing locations. Food is average. One of the oldest places in Jerusalem.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Seven Arches Jerusalem is the southern slopes of the Mount of Olives, not far from the Mount Scopus and looks out from the west, at the Old City of Jerusalem with perhaps one of the more beautiful, most inspiring views of living ancient history in the world. To the north, the hotel overlooks the backdrop of the hills of Bethlehem surrounded by large Green Garden. In an effort to better serve our guests, Hotel Seven Arches is proud to announce that our renovation project is now in its final stages, and will be completed in one month. Your stay will now be even more enhanced by the upgraded rooms, restaurants, and lobby area. Our rooms freshly renovated in 2016, few of them with the best view of Jerusalem, now offer modernized, convenient features. Rooms are completely refurbished from carpet to curtains, furniture to fixtures, while the bathrooms are newly refreshed with all new bathroom hardware, lighting and mirrors. Hotel Seven Arches is a short distance from the ancient historical and religious sites of the Holy City and is the perfect base for excursions to Bethlehem, Jericho, Masada, Galilee and beyond. Transportation from Ben Gurion International in Tel-Aviv to the hotel is 50Km (31-60 min. by taxi), and from the hotel to the city center of Jerusalem is 3 km (2-5min. by taxi). Official languages are Arabic and English, Hebrew is widely spoken, and many speak French, German, and Spanish. ... more   less
