We stayed at Rafael with our two boys. The room was very clean and cozy. The location is great and the service was very kind. Very suitable for families looking for a place to stay while exploring the city
The neighborhood this hotel is in is very nice. Good restaurant next door. Free parking which is rare in Jerusalem. The rooms have a full kitchen. Rooms itself are Ok, not amazing but decent for price point. Would stay here again.
Nice new clean rooms, good location near moshava germanit, excelent for families two rooms with kitchen and terrace, good service, near restaurants and bus station. Great place to stay in Jerusalem with family
This hotel is located outside of normal tourist areas, but there is easy walking to bus and taxi access. The suites have small bedrooms and small living room/eating room with limited kitchen facilities. We found it very clean and comfortable. There may be some parking availability (we did not have a car). The cafe in the front hotel building is good and convenient. You need to carry your baggage up a small flight of stairs to get to the elevator.
I normally stay in Airbnb locations but there were none available for what I wanted so I stayed at the Raphael Residence Hotel and it was very good. The suite had a nice sitting area with a couch, TV and small table along with a half size refrigerator, microwave, sink and two burners. The bedroom (it had its own door) was pretty much taken up by the bed but that was fine and there was also a small safe and TV. The bathroom was tight and the tub/shower was a bit of a challenge but overall, it was fine. The location is excellent as there are a number of restuarants within a couple of minutes walking, plus Emek Refaim and the old train station are within about a 10-15 minute walk and have a ton of options (visit the old train station either on a Friday afternoon when there are a bunch of food choices or Saturday night after Shabbat when the place is super lively). If you stay at the hotel, ask for building C since it is furthest from the street. Only a couple of really small issues. First, the ac/heat unit in our room was pretty noisy and there was a series of blue LED's that were constantly flashing (most annoying). Second, the quality of the shower gel and shampoo definitely needs to be upgraded as I had to use a bottle of each to get any kind of lather going, and they were small bottles. Regardless of these two small issues, I would definitely stay at this hotel again without a second thought.
