As a diamond member I have stayed at many of the Hilton hotels and it is also not my first stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Jerusalem but I have never had such a warm welcome. From the moment I walked in after a long flight I was welcomed by Azmi with a huge smile and all Azmi was concerned about was how to get me sorted in the best way. I really do appreciate it and it made my stay so much better. Hope to be back soon again. Joseph
This was not our first time in this amazing hotel. This time we celebrated my husband's 60 birthday and we were impressed by the warm hospitality. Together with elegance luxury, extremely comfort room, delicious breakfast, and perfect location, we had a remarkable stay. Looking forward to come again!
Hotel lobby and restaurant decor is amazing. First impression before checkin was great. Then it went downhill. I’m a diamond (for life) member and at check in received no sort of upgrade option. Welcome card in room had someone else name on it. Hallways and room appearance was worn and dingy. Service at breakfast was hit or miss. Food options were delicious and if you were able to get a cup of coffee that was great too. The key is to find the more experienced team members and make sure they know your needs. However, never once felt welcomed anywhere in hotel. Tried ordering room service one night and no one picked up phone. Asked front desk for help with still no response. Ate in hotel restaurant for dinner and not only extremely overpriced but also Gnocchi was so over cooked it felt like soup. Found broken glass on marble bathroom floor after day two. While the location is great, it seems they only cater to a very select few locals and have not maintained rooms - for the amount per night we did not feel like we received value at all. Wi-Fi did work well. Security at front loiter in front of door creating traffic jams. Was originally suppose to stay 6 nights - left after four because we felt unwelcome, uncared for and uncomfortable. Talked to front desk multiple times to check out early and each time was told it would be taken care of with no follow up and not being done. Finally called the diamond desk and they were able to get a hold of back desk at hotel to make the change. Something that should have taken 5 minutes took several hours, five tries and multiple escalations. While I love my hiltons and this location was perfect for Jerusalem exploration- I would recommend you consider other options if you’re there for more than 2-3 nights.…
Impeccable rooms and service. Our third stay here at the Waldorf Jerusalem. We had six different rooms this stay as we were there for our third child's Bar Mitzvah. Every detail was Waldorf-caliber and we especially appreciated the front door man (there are two of them--- who remembered us from our last visit) as they are always so fun and welcoming when we returned to the hotel lobby. Hanukkah lighting in the lobby was really lovely. Hotel went above and beyond for us several times-- like making sure our welcome bags were in each room on time and that we had our preferred tables for breakfast, Shabbat Dinner etc. Shabbat dinner was fantastic and well worthwhile. We loved spending some time in the pool area-- was a nice escape, relaxing. Special thanks to Maamoon AbuSway for answering all my emails over the months before we arrived about our meals; he was always gracious and easy to communicate with as was Daniel Birger, the concierge!…
I stayed with my family in two interlinking rooms for a 2 day visit to Jerusalem. The location is perfect, the service is number one and the breakfast variety is to die for. I can’t wait for my next visit to Jerusalem
A delicious experience. The service was excellent. Yezem in particular. The scones and cream and butter and Sarnies and Mini Pastries all EXCELLENT. But no STRAWBERRY JAM. No English Tea Room would be seen without STRAWBERRY JAM. Yezem managed to find us a little pot of strawberry-flavoured jam.
A wonderful experience. Beautiful property with very helpful and cheerful staff. Very comfortable room and bathroom facilities and a pleasant balcony to sit and wind down after a days sightseeing. Fantastic breakfast with very wide choice of food. Reception and door staff were very helpful with chief concierge Daniel Birger demonstrating absolutely superb advice and assistance. I hope to return as early as possible
WALDORF ASTORIA JERUSALEM: THE HOTEL THAT SATISFIES By: ANGELINA DOMINGO MAURICIO DECEMBER 15, 2022 THERE ARE HOTELS, AND THERE ARE HOTELS, OF COURSE. BUT FOR ME, WHOSE GRACE AND BLESSINGS OF GOD ALLOWED ME AND MY FAMILY TO TRAVEL ONCE IN A WHILE TO SEVERAL CITIES OF THE WORLD, WALDORF ASTORIA JERUSALEM IS A HOTEL THAT COULD EASILY BE DESCRIBED AS "ONE THAT SATISFIES". AS OF THIS WRITING , MY FAMILY AND I ARE STILL HERE, ENJOYING THE GOOD SERVICE OF THE STAFF OF WALDORF ASTORIA JERUSALEM, MOST ESPECIALLY THE PERSONAL SERVICE AND ATTENTION GIVEN TO US, NO LESS BY ITS GENERAL MANAGER AVNER ON, WHO SAW TO IT THAT A BIG BOTTLE OF ISRAELI RED WINE, WITH FRUIT PLATTER, AND A BIG ROUND ICE CREAM CAKE MET US AS WE CHECKED IN AT OUR ROOM. NOTING THAT THE THREE OF US IN MY FAMILY ARE CELEBRATING OUR BIRTHDAYS EVERY DECEMBER, AVNER TRULY TOOK HIS TIME OUT TO SHOW WALDORF ASTORIA'S GOOD-NATUREDNESS WITH ITS GUESTS. OF COURSE, NOT TO BE OUTDONE IN GOOD SERVICE IS MR. BATHAN COHEN OF THE WALDORF CONCIERGE DEPARTMENT, WHO PROVED INVALUABLE IN SOLVING SOME OF THE CONCERNS WE RAN INTO ON DECEMBER 15, 2022. AND THERE IS ALSO MR SUAT AND MR. HAITHAM OF THE GRAND PALACE RESTAURANT, WHO MADE SURE WE HAD MORE THAN EVERYTHING DURING BREAKFAST, IN OUR ENTIRE STAY. ALL OF THEM HAVE SHOWN TO US THE GOOD AND PERSONAL, AND CARING, SERVICE AND ATTENTION THAT SEEMS TO BE THE TRADEMARK NOW OF THE WALDORF ASTORIA HOTEL WORLDWIDE. SURELY, TOURISTS LIKE US WILL NOT GO WRONG IN CHOOSING WALDORF ASTORIA JERUSALEM AS THE PLACE TO BE, IN THE GREAT CITY OF JERUSALEM. …
gift from daughter and son-in-law...great experience....comfortable room and excellent breakfast..Beautiful artwork everywhere..floral displays superb. Nice to sit in Lobby and"people watch". Hotel in walking distance from many interesting places
We are delighted to stay here every year because the property is top notch, as is the service. Every member of the staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is outstanding - try the eggs benedict, followed by unlimited trips to the salad bar, cheeses table, hot entrees, fresh breads, fish platters, four kinds of juice, cakes and desserts station, and full table service, all included in every booking for as long as you stay. The location is near the city center as well as the Old City. Mamila Mall is a few steps away with high end shopping and restaurants. Everything about this hotel is world class. There is also an Orthodox Jewish shul (synagogue) across the street which has multiple daily prayer services and even a daf yomi class. Say hello to George at the front door - he has been there since it first opened, greeting guests in his stately top hat and tails. First class all the way, at a reasonable price.…
