The Dan Gardens is nothing fancy, but if you're not looking for luxury, you can't go wrong for the price. We had requested a bay view room and were booked for a "superior room." but got one with no view of the bay. We thought it odd taht the desk clerk didn't know if the first room we were booked...

we stayed there in a superior (bay view) for 4 nights in Aug 2008. Romm was clean with fridge and tea kettle. Bed was okay. The view of Haifa was really beautiful. Staff / service was depending on the person. Tsipi was great, some spoke nearly no English or were unhelpful. Ask for specials (free ride with the cable car,...

Absolutely loved it! very clean hotel. Small rooms, but then the rate is low - excellent location, right near the center of carmel, restaurants, shops, etc... Tsipi at the reception is great, very helpful and polite! Breakfast is really complete, down to the omlettes and cheese. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Our family of 4 spent 1 night at Dan Gardens. Since they didn't have any rooms that would accomodate 4 people, we got 2 rooms. The rooms were adjacent to each other, but did not connect. The rooms were actually a decent size. The location of the hotel is pretty good, we were able to walk to the main street...

This hotel is characterised by the helpfulness of its staff, especially Tsipora on reception. Though the rooms are a bit faded and quite small, they are perfectly comfortable if you are not going to spend much time in them. We were on a Baha'i pilgrimage and only came back to the hotel to sleep, so this was fine. Most rooms...

This hotel was an excellent deal. They had a good breakfast, which was included in the price. The hotel was a little hard for us to find, but after a few trips around the area we found it! Our only complaint was that the room adjoining ours had smokers in it (we booked a nonsmoking room, we're both allergic) and...

This is the little sister of the Dan chain and scores highly against the larger impersonal properties. If you are looking for a comfortable affordable room and don't mind no pool or bar then this is ideal. What makes it a high score in my book is the staff who are exceptionally professional for Israel. The steps up to the...

A real treat to find a 'reasonably' priced hotel in the Dan Group. We booked in for two nights and were pleasantly surprised. The room was very modern, clean and comfortable with good industrial air conditioning - a real bonus in July! It is in a good location in the Carmel region of Haifa and not far from the Ba'hai...

Dan Gardens is a nice place to stay while in Haifa. Location is quite nice, but no view of the Baha'i Gardens. You have to walk a few blocks to get to the main road where all the restaurants are, and where you can catch a bus or taxi. Rooms are nice, they could be cleaner though. We got a...

“The rooms without View are cheaper, but they offer a view of the wall. It is good enough if all you intend to do is sleep in the hotel as these rooms are quitere than the ones that face the bay.”
