The gardens are absolutely stunning. We saw them from the bottom and again from the top. Easy to access by local bus. There are English tours almost everyday at noon. We forewent the tour and headed to the Baha'i shrine instead (open from 9 am -12 pm). Definitely don't miss this

I am not particularly picky when it comes to hotels. I am compelled to write this review because this hotel was disgusting. I arrived and turned down the blanked to find: a) hairs on the pillowcase and sheets, b) sheets containing multiple (at least 10) small reddish/brown dots,

The Dan Gardens is a neglected hotel. It is in a state of disrepair. The carpets are filthy, housekeeping cannot clean a room to save their life. What is it you say, it is cheap.

"The rooms without View are cheaper, but they offer a view of the wall. It is good enough if all you intend to do is sleep in the hotel as these rooms are quitere than the ones that face the bay."
"Book somewhere else."
"Ask for a room with a good view of the ocean esp the higher floors."
"Room 300 is the biggest room with an extra couch!!"
"Go for a room on the front as the inner courtyard is grim."
