A wonderful alternative to Tiberias!
My boyfriend and I recently travelled around all of Israel. Having been there before, I knew the only place to stay in a traditional hotel in the North was Tiberias, and that most of the hotels were somewhat rundown (or not up to our standards) and very pricey. We instead sought out a more "Israeli" way to relax in the North, and stayed at EyzeZola, a tzimer (Israeli bed and breakfast). We were extremely impressed with what we found- a two story private cabin (complete with kitchenette, loft, jacuzzi and an amazing view) tucked away in Moshav Hazon, only a short drive from the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee). The tzimer was absolutely spotless, the owners were extremely friendly and accomodating (though their command of English was minimal- not a problem for us as I am fluent, but if you have a guide it would be wise to bring him/her along for the check-in/out), and it was exactly the relaxing experience we were looking for. One additional point- the owners themselves made us an excellent Israeli breakfast which was served on our patio overlooking the mountains- an amazing way to start the day! I would HIGHLY recommend this tzimmer to anyone looking for an alternative to staying in Tiberias- including those with children (the loft would have been perfect for about 3 kids).…
