Dirty room. Mold in the bathroom and smelly toilets. No air condition in the hottest city in ISRAEL. Reception said open the windows to enjoy other noisy geusts who played Arab music up until 4am. Management could not care less. Breakfast was OK, noting fancey.
We stayed at the Club Eilat Hotel from Sunday night until Thursday night Net-net, not a place I would recommend to my friends. But here are the pros and cons. Pros - Location. Location. Location. Across the street from Mall HaYam. Walking distance from everything. - Nice / airy room. We got a 3 room suite for 2 adults and 4 children. Most rooms have a microwave and fridge. - Every room has a balcony (People lit their Hanukiot on the balconies or in the lobby - it was beautiful to see the hanukiot being lit and people singing) AND in the large rooms, you have a jacuzzi on the balcony! Amazing family time for the winter nights. - Full breakfast buffet is open until 11 - for people who like to sleep in, this is great! Cons - The staff is mostly not friendly - some exceptions of course (housekeeper was super sweet, engineers to fix the jacuzzi too, some waiters as well) but on the whole, customer service doesn’t seem to be a priority (people literally told us “not my job” when we asked a Q, guest service told us we could do late checkout at noon because our room was not needed right away the next day… but needed to check with her manager and then came back to say the managers doesn’t want to let anyone do late checkout…) - Gums everywhere. Stuck to the night table in the bedroom. Stuck to the walls / fake rocks of the swimming pools. Everywhere. - Common areas are on the small side - once the hotel was full (during school vacation - on our 3rd day), it felt really packed. Parking lot was full and people were left to look for parking in the street. 15 min line to be seated in the dining room if you arrive at peak time. Lobby area during candle lighting was packed and not safe… Lines to get into the elevators at peak times. Kids’ pool was PACKED. - Maybe we got unlucky but jacuzzi in our room had an issue every single day. We didn’t know we had to “turn it on” so we only did that in the morning and it took 8 hours to heat up. Then they realized it was only warming up when there was no filter so they removed it … but then it was dirty. We ended up using it every night and it was really great … but it was an ordeal!!…
Service was outstanding. Cleanliness should be worked on a bit more. Great location, close to the beach, city center, and close to the multiple shopping stores. You can reach multiple spots without a need of transportation. Parking is also a great plus.
What an amazing hotel! So clean, convenient location and dun for kids. But mostly, Liran at the check-in was beyond amazing. No words to describe his great hospitality. Professionalism and patience. I told him my preference in floor and room and WOW!!!!! What an amazing big room we got! Liran, thank you for making the start of our vacation sooo excellent beyond words! Before covid i came to this hotel 4-5 times a year and always have the best experiences with the staff, the food, the room and the pool. Hotel is well maintained. It’s because of their staff like Liran that i will continue to come only here. For my family, this hotel is much better then all the high brands that just take your money and make you feel worthless and small. Here we are treated with such respect. Liran, thank you!…
Our stay wasn't too bad. The rooms are not at all sound proof. We suffered from loud music until 3 AM. While we were there there was a business group on vacation, which we weren't aware of, so parts of the hotel were closed off and there was a live show going on (which we heard in the room just as loud). The spa experience was amazing. Would recommend for families who don't mind the loud noise, we came with a baby and regret not finding a more baby friendly hotel.
The hotel is quite old We took 2 bedrooms villa which was small for 5 persons family (3 teens) Rooms are OK but could use renovation We where over priced due to holiday season Service is very good Stuff is very responsive Checkout on Saturday is too early If you looking for very basic accommodations with nice pool
The rooms are bad, they are big but the design and the interior are 30 years old and in very poor condition, on Sunday morning just above our balcony a truck was taking the garbage from the hotel , they started at 5:30 in the morning , the smell and the noise was unacceptable… the food in this hotel is ok , there are a lot of pools which are ok also but overall terrible experience from the staff at the reception, i complained about the room and they said they will transfer me to another room and ask me to live my phone number , but no one called and we stayed for 5 days in the same bad room ..
My expectations were quite low when I made the order. I've read other reviews, and the picture I imagined was totally different from what I actually met. The reception was efficient and fast. The receptionist was polite and answered our questions patiently. We received the rooms immediately at 14:30, an hour and a half before declared. The suite was clean and big. Service was good as well - We called for room service twice, and both times they have dealt with our requirements to our full satisfaction. Breakfast was good and varied. We arrived at the dining room at 08:30, and it wasn't crowded at all. Bottom line - we enjoyed our stay, and the value for money is great.
We arrived to the hotel with 1 child and a baby. The cost was more the 600 usd for night. But we couldn't sleep! Because of music under the hotel! Until 05:00 am! When we asked to change rooms they refused. Stay home!
We were there for one night, just needed somewhere to sleep between 2 scuba diving days. Price was reasonable, they followed the various COvid-19 procedures at check-in, which is good but doesn't explain why it took 37 minutes to check in. Lobby & elevators looked and smelled clean, so did the room. The room was spacious and easily accommodated 3 adults one teenager and one 5 year old. Luckily I brought 2 cans of spray Dettol with me : The door handles were sticky and had ingrained dirt on them, the phone was filthy. There was mold in the bathroom and the vents were cruddy. The toilet seat was a cheapo wobbly thing and wasn't clean, the toilet roll holder had seen better days. Half of the electrical outlets were faulty and loose, guys that's a safety hazard, fix it. In short, I thought that the events of the past year would have had a positive impact on the way hotels are cleaned and maintained, I guess I was wrong. A simple spray of Chlorox (available in Israel) would have made all the difference, is it really that hard to do ?…
