We came for one night. We had some issues to making reservation but after it worked we arrived to the place. In general it is clean but for us, the room was little bit smaller and especially the bath room. Beside that, the staff was nice, the furniture can get better and maybe eve n to improve the bath accessories. I can't say I won't come back because it worth the money you pay for it.
Was originally going to stay here for a week, but my family preferred to stay in an actual B&B that a hotel, so I tried to cancel my booking a few days after I made it over 2 weeks in advance. The host of the place ignored the cancellation and when I tried calling him he pretended he didn't know any English. Finally via a third party we got our stay there cancelled with the exception of the last day, we agreed to stay for one night because he was refusing any refund whatsoever. And for one night he charged 1000 shekels rather than the normal price. Also adding a service fee and his own "cancellation fee" making the price of the room more than that at a nice hotel, or even comparable to a week stay at the other b&b we stayed in. (which was far far nicer and had all of the essential amenities) However, the person who runs the place is rude and a money hungry con artist. The only reason why we even considered the place to begin with is that we were told that we would have 2 rooms, 3 beds, with a Jacuzzi bath. My elderly mother wanted to soak in the jacuzzi tub. When we arrived we found out that the guy who had pretended not to speak any English when I had called multiple times, was actually fluent he just didn't want to do it and ended up adding fees for late cancellation, when he was the one who refused to communicate. He gave us a terrible room, it was 4 beds in one room with a shower, nothing at all like the room we were advertised. And when we confronted him about it, he didn't care nor did he attempt to rectify the situation. I told him that what he was doing was false advertising, and that it's illegal. He didn't care and then went on a ramble about how this was the standard in eilat and we don't know, when it's obviously not judging by EVERY other place we went to and stayed at. The free parking mean you park on he side of the street wherever you can. Thier great location means tucked away in a dirty construction area in a one way alley, whatever nearby stores they spoke of are closed down. And it's certainly more than 10 min walk to the beach. There was only one working outlet for 5 people, and almost no essential amenities such as toilet paper, towels, blankets etc. The place was dirty and the bathroom was moldy, there was no privacy, the doors are designed so you cannot lock them for security or privacy, terrible lighting and no natural light, the blanket provided was so small that an average adult can't fit under it, the beds were hard and lumpy and the room was chilly and humid. I was unable to sleep at all during my stay, niether was my wife, mother or children able to rest or relax in that prison cell style room. We will never be back to this place again, nor will we ever recommend this place to anyone. The common areas are cute and cozy, but the plants are not maintained. What was once a beautiful garden is now a dilapidated mess of slowly dying plants. If you are considering it now, I warn you now. DO NOT STAY HERE! I didn't leave my comfortable home to go on vacation and live in a slumlords room. I've never in my life staying in such a horrible place, you can get better service and amenities from a roadside motel 6 in the states, probably any other place you would go to as well. If anything I just want to know who I can report this buisness to, as they run a horrible service and are very rude as well.…
Uncomfortable bed, lumpy pillows and room.not cleaned each day. Very basic indeed with no facilities at all. Small hotels nearby have pool areas, daily cleaning and tea, coffee and water in the rooms. All seemed much better value.
The price is fine, the room is nice and clean. During our checkout (06:00am) the guy from staff was quite rude, asking us to stay on the street to wait the taxi, totally unfriendly and unprofessional.
A really pleasant hostel with an atmospheric communal area. We had no problem parking right outside, after negotiating the one way system to get there. The location suited us very well, being just off the main road with all the eateries and shops. The aforementioned one way system ensured no traffic noise. Our rooms were good, with a kitchenette and bathroom facilities. Our kitchen had no mugs or cutlery which was one downside; the other for me was the noisy fridge that came on in the early hrs, waking me up. Free tea and coffee all night and water fountains. Little areas for meals outside rooms and plenty of clothes-horses for wet suits and swimming gear. Good wifi. Would stay again.
We booked a single night for our group (2 rooms). Less than 24 hours later our credit card was rejected. I entered it again, and it was rejected a second time and the reservation cancelled. The rooms were re-posted on the booking website, at a much higher price (+70% of the previous price!). I contacted the manager who claimed the credit card was invalid. It wasn't, as I used saved credit card details on my laptop. He then claimed the card exceeded its balance - it did not (I checked with the credit card company). I offered to provide a different card, but he claimed he was too busy and that I should call again the next day. When I called back, the rooms were gone and I was given evasive answers and finally told to "Talk to Booking.com". I suspect the management wanted to cancel the reservation in order to jack up the price (there was high demand for that weekend), and rent the room for 2 nights instead of our single night. I urge everyone to choose a different place to stay…
Bad booking service. Two hours before I arrived they cancelled my reservation saying my credit card was not valid. Why did they even try to get my money before arrival? Booking was made months ago. They just didn't want me I guess.. So had to find another hotel at 10pm :-( Glad that Rich Eilat Suites did accept my booking.
I was looking for a cheap and quit place to sleep on our diving trip to Eilat. On arrival I found a lovely place with excellent service. It was clean and quit and had a great atmosphere. The neighborhood is not the greatest but it is not felt inside.
The place is terrible. When we arrived at the hotel, there were some people using drugs in front of our room. As we entered the room, some cockroaches ran down the floor. The bed was filthy and smelled really bad. We turned around and left the hotel in terror... we found another one cheapear and much better. Stay away from sunset inn
It is actually an extremely basic motel...and it was sold to us on Priceline as a three star hotel (even the sign there says motel). We paid 4x the normal price ... such a rip off. The only good think that it was clean, but if you book here expect the simplest of simple and no comfort....lying in bed you heard the waterpipes running, when anybody turned on the tap. The room was very dark, so Zoysa always needed the lights on and also musty. It’s also hard to find parking in the street around the motel. Our stay there has been extremely disappointing! I would never recommend this motel anyone!
