We loved the free parking, beautiful garden and friendly staff. You can rent snorkels for 15 NIS (4 USD) a day, great for snorkelling in the Dead Sea. Supermarket is a 10min walk. Best to have a car to get around.

My friend David and I stayed in Jerusalem for a few days then rented a car to travel through the Arava desert along 90 which takes you along many scenic places including the Dead Sea . We booked a two day stay at The Arava Hostel in Eilat to check out the city . We were greeted by Ruth who...

We stayed in Eilat for a couple of nights in September. We had a private room with en-suite bathroom, which was was clean and well-equipped at a reasonable price. Ruth, who works there, was very pleasant and helpful and gave us information about tours, where to eat etc. We were able to park our car for free in front, too.

The location alone makes the Arava worthwhile--convenient and close to everything yet quiet and tucked away from the noise and rush. The garden is beautifully maintained, the reception area and rooms are spotlessly clean, and the reception was warm, friendly, and helpful. I will not be bothering with hotels (twice the price for half the pleasure) now that I know...

I really tried my best to keep a positive attitude in this hostel but it just sucks, if you go to the reception they'll be speaking on the phone while you're standing there waiting like you don't exists, I don't think they have much experience with tourists from abroad since they don't seem to have any idea how to treat...

.Great value for money, quiet, clean and friendly. Perfect for divers/backpackers Our double room was very small but well equipped with a fridge, a cable tv, shower, toilet and A/C. The communal kitchen is clean and well equipped as well and the staff was friendly and helpful.

This was my first time staying at a hostel and I was expecting the horror stories I saw in the movies. Instead I found a a clean place, very comfortable and friendly staff members. That was not at all what I expected. I was very pleasantly surprised and I would gladly stay at the Arava Hostel again.

Went on a trip with 3 other friends. We took a quad that cost us around 90 shekels per night (per each person), we had our own private bathroom. The breakfast is expensive (other hostels have it for 10 shekels) and we had to pay the receptionist in order to keep our bags in the hostel after check out (and...

This hostel has fantastic staff and a beautiful outdoor garden. However, the rooms are a bit cramped and the layout is odd- I ended up in a room sandwiched between the bathroom and the kitchen, which was not the quietest place. The wifi also did not reach the room, but was great in common areas.
