The hotel is not big, cosy and pleasant. Location is excellent- 5 min.walking from the beach, shopping mall and embankment. The hotel staff is helpful and friendly, especially the receptionist Anton, who solved our requests immediately. The food was delicious and different. There are only few rooms with the sea view, thats why it is better to book the room on the upper floors. This hotel is good for a quite vacation.
Located at an amazing location, right on the boardwalk, next to the mall, close to the bars/clubs The staff is sriendly and helpful. Very clean! The food in the buffet is fresh, delicious, and they have a good variety. I went there last year, this year, and will probably go again
This hotel almost managed to ruin our vacation! I sincerely do not understand how it got the high rating it has - which made us choose it in the first place. I will start by mentioning the 2 good things about this hotel - Location - right at the begin of the boardwalk Staff - all the staff were nice and seems they did their best to assist. We came for a short 3 nights vacation. on our first evening when we returned to the room there was a horrible sewer smell inside (while all windows are closed and aircon is on). we complained and a nice maintenance guy came to clean the shower drain and spray some aircon vents. The next day, returning to the room, again, there's smell! I asked to talk to a person in charge but it was pass 1800 and there was no one around. the next day, Oz returned to us and gave us a dinner compensation for our discomfort. the smell lingered in our room about 2/3 of our stay! Breakfast is really low standards, and on Saturday there is no coffee! apparently this is some kind of a Kosher hotel - which they fail to mention anywhere! So on Saturday there is no room cleaning (only changing towels maybe) and no coffee! Our room, which seems like it was not maintained for over 30 years (see pictures) had a great view to the dumpster. You really don't get this relief relaxing feeling of a hotel here. it's more like a cheap youth hostel! he bathroom is disgusting and small, it is so small that you can't even open the door completely to end it. the door will bump into the sink and you have to enter the bathroom on your side to fit in. When you sit on the toilet - your legs rest inside the shower. Smoking - people are smoking all over the hotel lobby, pool, entrance. you can not move in the public area without you and your kids passively smoking. We even complained once at the pool for people smoking (cigarettes and drugs) right next to our kids, and a very nice (too nice) security guy came and asked them to stop smoking, which did not make them stop. and the staff did not insist on it whatsoever - they just let it be. all the hand sanitisers around the hotel were empty. even after i told the reception about it - they remained empty. There is a nice small kids pool to have fun with your baby (when people are not smoking right on you...) I would recommend trip advisor to look into the 5 stars reviews and investigate it for fraudulent. BE WARNED!…
I recently spent three days in Eilat, choosing to stay at the Astral Maris Hotel. Found the employees friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms sparkling clean and comfortable. The location is good. Appreciated how comfortable and quiet the room was at night, making this definitely a good-sleep hotel. The rooms don't have spectacular sea views, but what I found outstanding was the food. I heartily recommend taking half-board at this hotel.
We were four families ordered rooms with breakfasts for an average of $350/night off season. See the pictures attached. We were expecting a “little” more value for this money. Instead, what we got is a poor, unmaintained, overpriced guesthouse. I wish I could attach the smoking smell at the lobby and corridors. It’s a guesthouse in how it looks, feels, and in the level of service provided. It’s a shame Astral advertise Maris as a hotel, and even charge $350/night. Beware.
We came 4 two nights. The location is very good: few meters from the sea, few meters from the main promenade, near all attractions. The lobby was recently renovated and is truly nice and inviting. The rooms are ok. One could expect more in a 4 star but it’s ok. The food was really very very good. Lots of choices: for Carnivora, vegetarians, vegans etc. staff kind and attentive.
We come to this hotel astral maris and in the reception we neet the best women in the word that help us so much in evrey moment of the holiday. Her name is REUT she is the meneger at the reception. We want to thank her so much. She knows evrey thing about eilat and about the the hotel. Thank u so much. We will come again next time here. We will defently recooment to other to come to this hotel and have fun.
Very good hotel with a good team ! Very good food and good service !! Thank you SHARON and Denis and Pazit for your support ! This hotel is at the best location in Eilat !! Really in the center ! See you soon !
We loved everything: the price (very reasonable) the room (nice design) and bathroom (with both bath and shower), the location (next to the beach, mall and all the fun), the breakfast was tasty. Will come back for sure.
Basic, small hotel. Room was scarcely equipped, lacking basic stuff provided by most good hotels. No place to sit comfortably with a laptop (only low stool provided). Bathroom flooding issues (improper floor inclination), which the front desk admitted exists in additional rooms. Good breakfast and pleasant lobby. Location is fine, but don't expect any sea view except from select rooms on the upper floors. Overall, this no more than a 3-star hotel. Worth the cheap price though.
