I chose the Hotel for its location which was as expected. The room was clean, the sheets fresh. Room service good. TV and variety of stations. Really good water pressure and hot water in the shower. The rather negative reviews prepared me for the worst and I think it wasn't as bad as told. Still all the references were right. · Other reviews already mentioned a bunch of negative points which all were true but imo a bit exaggerated. 1.There is a bad smell in the lobby or rather a strong chemical "air freshener" to cover up a bad smell. Don't know where it comes from, but you don't have to spend a long time in the lobby. 2.The worst about the room for me was that the curtain was smaller than the windows. 3.The gym has seen much better days. Many machines and stations broken and very dirty/dusty. I only managed to get one treadmill running, however it didn't run smooth. You know, those split second stops when the belt seems to get stuck... Dangerous! 4. Some reviews mentioned a lot of noise, that I did NOT experience. A few times I could here other guests talking/laughing in the hallway, but never annoyingly for a very long time. 5. Distance to City center/beaches: Yes, the Hotel is located on the very edge of Eilat to the north. Walking distance about 20-30 minutes. But this you can easily check before booking. On the positive side there is a shopping mall close, a supermarket, a fee food options (best and really good is "The Brewery" - great craft beer, next level pub food) Everything considered I guess, Soho Hotel is mostly the cheapest offer in Eilat. If you go for cheap you get cheap. Young people, students, party folk are the ones looking for cheap accommodation - that maybe contributes to noise. Other services need personnel, which again costs money. So don't complain about things you're not willing to pay for.…
Modest place, but if someone is looking for cheap accomodation in Eilat - which is very expensive city - this is perfect. Very clean bed, very comfortable bed, like in hotel 4 stars. Clean towels every day, cleaning every day... what we need more? The bulding inside is not in very good condition, the doors are quite destroyed, but for me it doesn't matter - if you want to leave your belongins save, to spend your time in the city and just sleep comfortable and cheap - this is the best place. It is half-hour walk to the center, but you walk among palm trees road or upper - through Eilat districts - quite poor in this part, but with many small bars with great food and open people.....Many cheap shops around open until late, and big shoping center with many bars and restaurants, when you can have your breakfast. I would come back there with no hesitation.…
Awfull location, outside the city. GREAT staff with a very good lady taking care of everything. Closed pool at the end of March even if outside were 30 degrees C. “Photoshopped” pictures but when you enter it, looks awfull. The photographer deserves a medal 😂
Got given a room key. went up to our room and interrupted a man mid-shower.. went to get another key and were given one but with no apology. Located on a very noisy industrial estate on the outskirts of Eilat. Lobby absolutely stunk of sewage each time we walked through it. Facilities include a pool which is overlooked by warehouse and car park.. saw no one in it throughout our who stay. Walked into the lift just before checking out and there was blood on the floor which hadn’t been cleaned. 1 inch gap under the door so had interrupted sleep all night with the noisy people walking past. So had bad sleep as we had a billboard outside the window which was lit all night.
The room was basic and clean and for the price paid - approx 41 dollars / night - we were fine with that. The room was basic and clean and for the price paid - approx 41 dollars / night - we were fine with that. It is very very very far from the city center. But still I wouldnt have considered it a problem. However, the most annoying things were the noise at night: people shouting in the corridors, playing music in the corridors, slamming doors after 10 pm until late morning - so very uncomfortable and disturbing. Moreover, in case you are addicted to internet, just forget about it; the connection in the hotel is very poor.
This hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed at! The lobby smelled like trash. The floors were overly perfumed to the point of gaging. The chair in the room I stayed stunk of urin. The shower flooded the bathroom. I have nothing good to say - I would have rathered slept in my car! STAY AWAY!!!!
The room is very basic, clean, has shower, hot water, toilet, kettle, a/c, big screen TV with cable. Some toiletries, small fridge. The staff were helpful and polite. The lobby was clean as were the elevator and corridors. For the price we paid very decent. No view, the pool is tiny and they need better curtains so the light won't get in. Fit the description.
