After a lousy hotel stay elsewhere, I am so pleased with this hotel. Only 1/2 block from the train station. I was greeted by the staff and my bag was carried up the stairs to the front desk. The helpful staff person didn't speak much English but used Google translate to help us communicate. Once checking in, he brought my...

My friends and I recently stayed 3 nights (2 separate rooms) at Urkmez and loved it! The owners were the best part of the stay. They were extremely helpful in setting up tours, calling taxis to Ephesus and ensuring we took the correct bus to Izmir (after we missed the 9 am train). They even spent the evenings joining us...

Great location! Walking distance to the bus station (if that's how you are coming in or going out) but the hotel came to pick us up from there. Also a 5 minute walk to the train station. Lots of restaurants near by and very easy to get a taxi to Ephesus and House of the Virgin Mary. We had a...

We had a little difficulty finding the hotel (it was 11:30 pm and we were tired after our international flight into Izmir). We stopped to get directions and a man (the hotel owner) came walking down the alley called out to us asking if we were looking for Urkmez Hotel...apparently, the neighborhood let him know that there was a car...

We stayed at Urkmez for 2 days when visiting Ephesus. It is a small hotel with exceedingly friendly staff who helped us with directions to Ephesus and also to Miletus, Priene etc. The hot buffet breakfast is delicious. We also walked from the hotel to Ephesus museum as well as the castle with ruins. Both are excellent and worth a...

Excellent, clean, tastefully decorated hotel. We stayed in the standard room during Dec 2011. The hotel staff were very attentive. The breakfast (included) was one of the best we had in Turkey, and it was on the roof top (great views of city). Location was good, right in centre of town, minutes walk from the bus and train station. Nearby...

Stayed here in September with my husband in a room on the second floor. The staff of this place were AMAZING! Helpful, friendly and just lovely. The rooms were simple, clean and basic- nothing fancy - but you are only paying around 50 euros a night, so it actually exceeded my expectations. The shower didn't have the best pressure and...

I stayed in Urkmez Hotel for 3 nights in January 2012. What I definitely like about this hotel is that it is very lovely decorated with a homey atmosphere (see the photos I attached)! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Free wifi and delicious breakfast are plus! The twim room (room 201) I stayed is small, but it has...

This great family run Boutique Hotel is in the center of Selcuk within a short drive to the fabulous ruins of Emphases. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone visiting the area.

If you are visiting the House if Mary or taking the Ephesus tour, then this is the place to stay. Spent two nights in November 2011. Hotel booked tour for me on arrival. One of the brothers took me to the airport. Good breakfast. Michael from Nigeria
