Nice location in Old Town, up the hill from the Otogar. Rooms were comfortable with antique and owner made decorations. We enjoyed breakfast plates filled with fruits, eggs, bread, etc. (not buffet style) and the complimentary first afternoon wine on the rooftop. We had our first night's dinner here and enjoyed the company of other guests. Dervis was very helpful...

We stayed at Homeros on the last leg our journey. Its a charming cottage-ish place located a stone's throw from the Basilica of St. John and the Selcuk bus station. You can easily get to Ephesus through a taxi (15 TL) or dolmus (2.5 TL) from there in about 15 mins. The owner, Dervish, is a super lively and pleasant...

We stayed here two nights with our three kids. Just as described in reviews here, the pension is very unique and eclectic. There are lots and lots of decorations in the rooms. Some have commented that it's too cluttered, but for us it was charming (although a little harder to keep track of your things!). Having just come from some...

After paying 90TL for a room for 3 people in Izmir that looked like a drab room in a hospital ward, I was completely surprised by the eclectic, warm, and charming room we were given for the same price at the Homeros Pension in Selcuk. The owners, Shaziye and Dervish, are so welcoming and pleasant. The upstairs terrace, where meals...

My husband and I stayed at Homeros Pension for 3 nights in May 2012. The best things about Homeros are the friendly family who own and run the pension, and the congenial atmosphere they promote through their free wine hour on the rooftop terrace, and the horseshoe shaped dining room in which guests face each other around the room. The...

Dervis and his staff were friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with in every way. The food was excellent and the room was adorable. A perfect place for a romantic get away.

I stayed two nights at the Homeros Pension, but wish it could have been more. Located in a convenient location, close to Selcuk Otogar, Homeros impressed from the start. Old world charm and a cosy homely feel were the order of the day delivered with aplomb. It features a wonderful roof terrace that oozes mystery and serenity. I didn't manage...

I only stayed one night in Homeros, but I was impressed. It is a very charming pension with gorgeous Turkish rugs everywhere. Dervis and his sister are hospitable and friendly. My room was clean and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was fantastic. Lots of fresh, local fruit with honey and bread. I love Turkish breakfast and this one, on the...

We stayed two nights at homeros when we visited Ephesus, and found it to be a comfortable, charming place which has a good sense of hospitality and conviviality. The room was attractive, with lovely textiles decorating every surface- certainly not the sterile look usual to budget accommodation. The hosts are super relaxed and friendly, helpful when asked. Great roof terrace...

We were warmly welcomed by Shaziye when we arrived and taken to our room. Knowing we were tired from a long bus trip, she left us to settle in and told us to come over for a glass of wine when we were ready. The room was just gorgeous, full of character (like the whole place). We enjoyed our wine...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Since 1991 a popular place with travelers, run by Dervis with the help of his mother (she cooks great meals) and his sister Oya. The roof terrace gives a splendid 360" view over the old part of Selcuk town, with many antique sites a stone's throw away. Guest rooms are divided over 2 buildings (across the street) and are uniquely decorated with local antiques. Most rooms have en-suite bathroom and aircon. Free: transportation to Ephesus, use of internet (wireless), bicycle use. Every evening before dinner wine is served on the roof terrace to make the beautiful sunset even more enjoyable. ... more   less
