We were very disappointed with our stay in Tria Hotel - in fact, it was the only disappointment of our trip to Istanbul. For starters, it's certainly not a 4 star hotel - we were looking forward to a relaxing week, staying somewhere comfortable and...More
I only stayed at the Tria for two nights, but I wish I had stayed longer. It was a wonderful experience. It is located very centrally in the heart of Sultanahmet. First of all, when I got there the receptionist made me some Turkish tea...More
Perhaps if you pay the top rate and book a deluxe room this hotel would be okay, but as a solo traveler in a "standard room"-definitely NOT. The standard rooms overlook a backyard shared by a noisy bar or disco and your view consists of...More
We are a couple on our 30's. We had a nice stay at Tria in Jan 2010. The hotel is very small but cozy and it's in a perfect location, 3-5 minutes walking to the Blue Mosque, A Sophia and T. Palace. The deluxe room...More
I stayed here for only two nights but I can say this is a great place, the rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was also very good, and so is the location. I can't really find any flaws, will sure stay...More
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

We called the hotel before our arrival (October 2015) and asked for a car to pick us up at the airport. The driver was on time and the cost was reasonable, although I cannot remember how much it was. I would not rent a car because the traffic and driving in Istanbul is horrendous and the hotel is not on a main street. When we left, the hotel arranged for a taxi to take us to the pier for a cruise. The cost was also reasonable.
