a friend of mine recommended me this hostel and from the first day i realized that it was a good choice. the staff was very helpful in recommending places and activities. in the lounge they play very good music and instead of going outside, we spent some nights in the lounge drinking and chatting with staff and other travelers. although...

Very cheap Hostel in the center of Beyoglu. It isn't very luxurious but there are friendly staffs and a good service (WiFi, Laundry, Free water,...). Also a good atmosphere in the lobby during waiting for the train or only chilling out :) Would book it again :)

Bed bug! So big bummer. Hostel also ok, small rooms, little dirty toilets and showers. Relatively expensive. The Neverland Hostel is nearby, cheaper and more spacious know or are not in Neverland bedbug.

Common area does seem chill, but thats all they have to offer. The rooms were terrible, dirty, and although we did not get bit by bed bugs, you can definitely see the the markings left by them in the walls and under beds. The bathroom situation was also poorly thought out. One shower on one floor then one toilet on...

We booked 2 bed in a triple room. Staff took into account our wish that in the room was only for women. We book 3 nights, in fact spent there only 2. Chill out location and atmosphere are very good. We stayed 4 nights in a three-beds dorm room. On the first morning one of us was all bitten by what appeared to be BED BUGS. We changed room immediately however the whole experience was unbearable. Please do not book at this BED & BUGS INN !

Found this hostel by accident and was very pleasantly surprised. Location is close to the bar area, the lounge is great for hanging out, staff is very helpful. The rooms are basic, but exactly what one expects from a hostel. Only negative aspect is that there is no elevator. Would definitely go there again!

If you want to follow up to concerts, this is your place! They let customers about events. Also they have always clean sheets and hot water. On the other hand, place is middle of Taksim. For that you have chance to reach everywhere in Istanbul.

It was our mistake to choose the Beyoglu area carring the backpacks. This area is on the hill. But finally we found this hostel. Many hostels around were busy. Our room was in the highest floor. And there is no lift. So it's hard enough to move up with backpacks. The dorm for 6 person was very small. So it...

My friend and I stayed here for one night because we wanted to try out the Taksim area of Istanbul. We didn't like the area as it was just a big city and full of people, much more that the old town. We felt the old town had more of a vibe to it and liked it much much better....

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
