I stayed here on 2 occasions as part of a tour group. The first night of the stay I was put in a rather small and very basic room which at the time didn't really matter as I had just completed a rather lengthy flight. The second visit I was placed in a much bigger and nicer room on the...

Spent two nights here and will return. It's in a great location near everything you want to see, and the breakfast buffet is a wonderful assortment of olives, cheeses, pastries, hot dishes, breads and spreads. Incredibly helpful staff who let me check in a little early after my arrival on an overseas flight.

rooms are clean, the staff is fantastic with smiles and work hard! The breakfasts on the top deck overlooking Istanbul are great with a wide variety of food. The Hotel is close to everything and you can walk everywhere from there. Not fancy, but a good place to stay.

Although the rooms are small at this hotel, the staff are very helpful. It is located a not too long uphill walk to the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, etc. And it is not that far, we discovered, from the Spice Market, Grand Bazaar and Galata Bridge. There are many good restaurants right in the neighborhood.

This hotel is well situated for all the main attractions in Istanbul, Great staff, nice clean rooms, perhaps a little small, but with everything you need, lovely breakfast room on the roof, with great views, wi fi not the best, and like all city centre hotels, expect some street noise, although the rooms are very quiet bottom line, would I...

This hotel is a starting and end point for g adventures and it worked very well for us. We are a couple just over 60. The rooms are clean if a bit small. There are many restaurants, walking distance to several attractions including Blue Mosque, spice Market and Grand Bazaar. We tacked on an extra day to see more sights...

The hotel is situated in a very attractive part of the town, on walking distance from the touristic highlights. The neighbourhood, Sirkeci, is not merely touristic, but also inhabited and visited by locals. Plenty of small typical Turkish restaurants. The hotel itself was clean, really ok for the money. The hamam and massage give an excellent extra.

Clean and tidy, helpful staff with friendly nature. The hotel is very close to many major tourist attractions, restaurants, cafes and bazaars. Great rooftop breakfast dining room with views up the Bosphorous. Would highly recommend this hotel. Stayed as a couple for a few days after a G Adventures trip across Europe.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
