Yes the hotel is very close to the main sights, however I had money stolen by an employe, and when I confronted him and the managers, they insinuated I was to blame as I must have spent it while I was drunk, I do not drink any alcohol, because I was staying by myself! I have to say as a...

Clean hotel in central location. It's walking distance to both Sultanahmet area and Galata bridge. The tram station is also just a 2-3 minute walk away. The service was decent. The complimentary breakfast lacks variety but makes up in quality of food. Beware! The rooms are extremely tiny - tiny to the extent of causing claustrophobia! We had two suitcases...

A very clean hotel, and a kind staff and especially a very well placed hotel: district pleasant and close to monuments. The hotel is frequented well. The breakfast is very copious and good. We shall return Inchallah! An Algerian family of five persons.

I stayed here for the last three days of my trip. They showed me one room before I confirmed the booking and tried to give me a different one when I arrived. The other room was quite small (as a previous reviewer wrote) and when I explained about the room they had initially shown me, they put me in the...

Sytayed here for one night on our return from Egypt having stayed in a hotel further up on the same road during our initial stopover. Paid 85 Euros per night for a triple room, same as the earlier hotel, and at that rate expected bigger rooms and something a bit more than the basic set up you get at this...

This hotel is clean, spacious, with a friendly staff. I would recommend it to everyone. The breakfast room is small, but that is no problem. Everything else is first class. It is in a quiet location yet so so central to shopping and the big sights!

The room was rather small and the breakfast was OK, but the best feature is its location: right by the galata bridge, 50 meters from tram which takes you to most of the sights you want and need to see. I'd stay here again for its location and its quietness.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“in Turkey as well as many other DON'T EVER book a hotel room from the airport using one of those "agents"....more often than not a)you pay at least double, b)you pay for an "optional" taxi transfer (a lot more than necessary) and c)they only fill up their partner hotels, irrespective of which area you specified or type of hotel you asked for)......go online and even if you dont have a credit card, send the hotel an email and tell them when you arrive........and if you really like the place they've shown you.....got to an internet shop and go to an online booking service and get the MUCH discounted rate....”
