We had a terrible experience with Santa Lucia, however we had 1 month prior reservation for 2 rooms with king size beds, the host kept telling us there were no available rooms with king size beds and only 2 rooms with single size beds are available and what they can offer only is putting the single sized beds together to...

Hello Mr Mahmoud, First of all I want to say that we are very upset about this situation. You came here at christmas time and our hotel was full so we couldn't change your room. But we changed your beds. It was a sudden downpull and suddenly the room had a water leak from the ceiling. We couldn't fix it...

My 20-year old son and I had a long lay-over in Istanbul from our trip from Bodrum to Los Angeles. I decided to book a room near Taksim Square so that we can see this special place. The Santa Lucia staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful night on a Bosporus dinner cruise and walked around the...

Very friendly staff, very central location. The lobby's arrangement and the staff allow clients to be introduced to eachother. Thus easily better social environment than expected. Breakfast was good some days.

The hotel is neat and clean. Rooms moderately big. Staff is helpful. Pricing is good and it's very close to Taksim square and istikal Street. Stay here if you wish to be around Taksim and enjoy the nightlife.

This is a smallish hotel, but was excellent value...Our room was clean, modern and tastefully furnished. The staff, in particular Naima, were very helpful and obliging. The breakfast included was modest but adequate. The hotel is situated in a quite steep street, so it is not an easy walk for disabled or elderly guests. Our room was quiet, others I...

The only good thing about this hotel rather suite is it's location which is 2~3 min walk from Taksim Square and Istiqala Street. I saw 2 electricity breakdowns in this hotel, one of which was almost all night and there was no backup even the emergency lights. I had to several time requested to hotel management to give me a...

The hotel is small but clean and new. Room service was good and the staff was very friendly. The room we booked was double room but they surprised us with a deluxe room for the same price which was comfortable and with suitable size for 2 adults and a child. Ask for a room in a high floor because there...

There were some confusion upon arrival but they quickly accommodated us. The room was clean and cozy. The staff were great while the price was reasonable. Definitely recommend...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
