Used by peregrine tours for start and end trip. Convenient location for walking to palace, mosques, bazaars, food outlets etc. Rooms quite tight for a couple, we found going to rooftop lounge/breakfast room gave us space! Lift a bit dubious and very busy. Decor very bling and a bit tired, an acquired taste? A big disappointment is its a no...

Having my flight cancelled because of the bomb attaches at Atatuk airport I got on one the following day. Unfortunately I was due to be doing an intrepid tour but that too was cancelled. They were informative and the room was clean. The only thing I felt they could of done was not charge me the night that I was...

Absolutely perfect location to explore the old city of Istanbul. Walking distance to all sites you would want to visit. Front desk staff were very helpful and enthusiastic. Staff to covered the happy hour appeared disinterested at the time. Issues: I was in a twin room and there was barley enough room to put our luggage. I only had a...

Stayed here for two nights prior to an Intrepid tour and thought it was a very well located hotel. Simple rooms but enough space for what you need for a few nights, good air con and wifi seemed to work well too. Walking distance to all the major sites and a few good restaurants in the area. Close to the...

If you're looking to stay in an Ottoman style, 'feel like a princess', clean, sparkly hotel room whilst in Istanbul... This is it! We stayed for one night in between tours and it was very comfortable. The only let down was the shower... it was a strange small, plastic, enclosed, space capsule-like contraption... But apart from that it was a...

My husband and I came here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had a lovely room. It was decorated in golden colours. I had told the Hotel beforehand we were coming for our 25th wedding anniversary but did not exect them to remember it and decorate the room with petals, balloons, fruit basket etc. It was a very very pleasant...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
