The room was small, but perfectly fine for a stay, and wonderfully located such a short walking distance from the major historical and...

The hotel offered a free shuttle transfer for a stay of 3 or more nights, which was great and they were waiting for me on arrival at midnight. However, once I checked in the problems started. I had to call up and ask for a blanket and wait 15 minutes for one. Secondly this place has disabled all of their...

If you are coming to Istanbul and don’t know where to stay, make sure you choose Golden Horn. Light clean rooms, delicious breakfast, perfect location and the best terrace in town! First hotel where I see happy hour program, so you can enjoy delicious Turkish sweets and tea on the terrace with the best view of Istanbul.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
